Aftermarket Head Unit

On a R60 that comes with the OEM NAVI and Harmon/Kardon sound system.
I am looking to replace it because it lacks apple carplay, the map data is old and look slike is not getting any new updates, there is really no media support, and no backup camera.

Can anyone recommend a good aftermarket head unit to replace the OEM one with, that has the features i listed?
SiriusXM capability would be a bonus, but i understand that may be a stretch - so can live without it.

But it would need to be able to plug into the factory harness, use the steering wheel functions, and work with the factory amp.

Look up some of the threads on the Andream Unit. It actually plugs in between the car and the existing screen to give you CarPlay, Android Auto and Camera integration. I put a bunch of pics in there of the install and it works with the car steering wheel controls AND if you hold down home it flips back to the factory screen so you can see car functions errors etc...

WARNING: Getting the dash apart is way more difficult that it should be, plan on a full day.

Btw, the main reason decided to do this is because the part of the dash that is required to be removed to get the head unit out is already removed. I did this because im installing led fog/drl lights, and changing the center dash button module to one that has the fog light button.
The proper way, to the FMR.

No time better than to change it now.

I ended up ordering a JoyeAuto link.
That should be fun to install.

Thanks for pointing me in that direction. If this works as advertised, that is exactly what i wanted to begin with!

If you have the factory Nav this is the one to use. Bremmen Carplay units.

I am getting this for my MINI soon as now the LCI+ Gen 2 MINIs dont have the Traffic update now. So the live traffic does not work on the factory Nav now. :(

We have the back up cams also that go in the lic plate lights: R60/R61 https://www.ecstuning.com/b-bremmen-.../002480brpc03/

I wouldn't replace a factory screen. Factory screens are built using quality components that last a very long time. All the replacement screens you can find, unless you go with brand names like Sony or Pioneer, would be something of low quality from overseas. Due to cost-cutting measures and other factors, they don't last as long. You already have everything in the car, and we will be offering CarPlay add-ons that come with a lifetime warranty, specifically for Mini Coopers, for $500. They're made in the USA. You buy it once, and you never have to worry about it again. Unfortunately, everything you can buy as so-called factory replacement screens generally are of low quality, and besides all the problems, they start delaminating very fast.
