I would like to get one of those also, but I have an HK sound system in my car, and I don’t think it will work with it.

 

Why would you replace a quality factory-built unit with a good quality screen with a cheap Chinese unit that was never designed for the car? Unfortunately, most of these radios that come from overseas do not last a very long time on the dashboard due to the heat inside the car. You already have everything you need to get CarPlay – the screen is there, you have the joystick, and basically everything to have CarPlay as if it was factory. I would keep it that way and not change anything, just add CarPlay on top of that.

Yes, try the search, I have the same unit.

njaremka, they are supposed to work with the HK system. There is a wire that needs to be connected that I believe powers the amp.

 

I just purchased one today for my R58. Guess I'll be the guinea pig and will let everyone know how it goes.

 

SARCASM. Many have done it. Like I said before, use the search and search for Android head unit

Has anyone come up with a fix for the cruise control showing up as kmph?

 

I haven't tried. It has been in over two years now and I know what speed = what so it isn't an issue.
