Some jerk!

Some jerk threw a soda on my clean white CM! Who even does that?

I was parked at Pentagon City Mall in the garage in a nice end spot. When I returned to my car after work there it was all over my hood.

Seriously WTF!

It was after 6 on a Sunday so I had to go to a gas station car wash

Could be worse - my trunk needed paintless dent removal and new rear stripes after a vandal got after my CM in San Antonio.

Hope there's no dmg to your paint ! If there is, don't forget that you can file it as a comp claim with your insurance carrier.

It was a cup.

No damage but I'm still seriously annoyed.

Man you must go ballistic when a bird turds on your car.

Getting keyed sucks. Getting sodaed. Please

Put a few drops of Coke on your bonnet once. Report back in a few hours and let us know what it did. Thanks.

Happened to me before when i owned a White Honda Prelude. I pulled up to a McDonald's to use the bathroom (i had to pee, LOL!) and as i was getting out of my car, a guy was standing outside eating by his car two spaces over and said, "Nice ride, man!". I smiled and said thanks and went to do my thing. As soon as i came back out, there was soda all over my hood. Looked at the guy and he just kinda gave me a look, but didn't say anything. Also noticed he didn't have a soda anymore. I thought about saying something, but i knew it wasn't worth it so i just took off. It sucks, but it could be worse.

Too bad you didn't 'have anything left' from your errand, you could have finished the job on his 'Nice ride'.

I was annoyed it certainly didn't ruin my day. The point is that it's jerky for someone to deliberately do something to my property that paid for and make a point of keeping clean.

Comparing a soda purposely thrown on a car to a bird. Please.

A jerked dinged the side of my car with a surfboard in a beach parking lot. Probably inadvertent, but he didn't bother to leave a note. And a witness saw it, but she didn't bother to note the plate number. Luckily, no dent, just finish damage, but a damper on an otherwise fine weekend.

Generally speaking people suck. you try to keep something you worked hard for or on nice, and they strive to f it up. If only I could get my death ray to work...

Anyway, I try to park where I am away from the main grouping of lazy people that can't control their car doors, or can't be bothered to put their carts in the corral...or understand gravity and hills...

Not even parking like an a-hole, just away from the inconsiderate in a rush types. And it never fails I come out and there is a shopping cart on my bumper or some yutz parked a millimeter from my door.

Hopefully that jerks beverage didn't do any damage.

Yes, this can be chalked up to pure jealousy, nothing more, when people want something they can't have, they get jealous.

The only satisfaction you can pull from this is - your life must be better than theirs.

Too bad Darwinism works so slowly, they'd eliminate themselves faster then.

What a sensless act. I feel your pain. Unlike some that suggest bird turds falling unpurposefully on your car is like an intentional act of vandalism, albeit keying a car is a greater act but requires a more committed vandal.

I frequently park in and around that mall and have seen many Countryman in this DC/Arlington area.

Curious...Did you report it? Did you check to see if the garage has security cameras in that area of garage? They may have had other reported incidents and could use your report, date, time, etc.

I will be on the look out for you and your White Countryman while rolling around in my Pue Red with Cargo Roof Rack.

Someone did the same thing to my partner's car just yesterday. luckily, it cleaned off very easily with quick detailer. It is so hard for me to understand why people can be such losers.

No I didn't report it. I'm not sure if they have camera's but I would thinks so. I always see security cards patrolling the garage.

I keep seeing a light/mocha brown one parked a few blocks down but that's the only one I see consistently. I'll have to keep a look out for you.

It was probably some kids horsing around. Years ago I had a brand new Honda - like only a week old. I parked on a city street near a movie theater to see a movie. When I came out I saw a newspaper dispenser had been knocked over and totally dented a scraped a ton of paint off my bumper. My insurance totally covered it - but my impression was that it was kids messing around, not that it was an intentional slight. I know there are people out there that do that (or just don't care about others property) - but this sounds like bad luck. Sorry it happened and I'm glad it cleaned up okay. They say Coke dissolves paint right? So good you were able to get it off quickly.
