JCW Design Package

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the x-post, but not getting many views in the Mod subforum.

Can someone tell me what's involved to install the mirror caps and air intakes that come with the JCW Design Package?

If it's super easy, I will just order them online ($189 at Sewell) and install myself.

One earlier reply (thanks!) told me the mirror caps were easy, but couldn't comment on the air intakes.

thanks!

I did both the mirrors and the Air Intakes in about 10 minutes. For the Air Intakes I used an old putty knife with rounded corners and wrapped the blade with electrical tape to keep from scratching anything. It just takes a combination of light prying and pulling to remove the old ones and then the new ones just snap in place.

We had a set of caps painted chili red and brought them with us for delivery. Took all of 5 minutes for them to swap them.

Can not speak to the intakes.

Air intakes were super easy, less than 5 minutes, in my previous post I mentioned the use of a putty knife that I had laying around with the corners rounded off which prevents the sharp edge from doing any damage with the help of the blade being wrapped in a light layer of cheap plastic electrical like tape. I just inserted it between the bumper plastic and the existing air intake to lift the Edge so I could get hold of it to pull it out of its mount. Old intakes are like new and I plan to have them painted next year when I change the stripes and color schemes of the car. Easy way to fool people as well as myself into thinking I got a new ride.
