I love my countryman but I hate the crappy satellite radio interface.
I would expect them to update it already...do you think they will?

I thought the entire point of the mini connected dashboard screen was that they would periodically update the software....???

When playing from presets (the only way to easily get to a station) it should show the name of the artist and song playing after a brief pause. The only way to see that info is to go back to the satellite screen. This makes no sense. Also - every so often it loses my presets (but that's another story).

The UI really needs some tweaks.

I hope they update it. With just a few tweaks it could be really great.

 

if you click to the right and select view station info, most will publish the info that way.

I just wish the UI from playing your iPhone via the Connected app (blue screen, full title/artist, album art) was the same as the crappy orange version via external devices, where it goes to only album artwork and constantly flips back to the external devices menu

and have the artist/title on the nab screen

 

i would like to just have sat radio! My 2012 cooper doesn't have it...still trying to get it fixed!

 

happened to also me forgetting the preset stations on satellite. just stop the car lock and unlock it with the fob and it will work again. think sometimes it doesn't get the signal for the stations even though it will start the car.. oh i have comfort access. you may have have not unlocked it from that fob key that had the stations on it

i thought that was happening too, then i realized that the presets were specific to the key i was using, the a/c settings and a few other things are specific to each key

 

yep they are and i use the same key and sometimes it doesn't recognize the presets . Yesterday kept getting channel 2 no matter what so i stopped the car turned it off then on with the key again and everything normal.

 

If you select your radio station from the "presets" menu -
you have to click a few times to view the song + artist, info.

This is a design flaw. There should be a setting where it displays the song+artist info for a station selected from the "presets" menu (perhaps after a 5 second pause) - of course you want to see what is playing once you select a preset.

Also - the only easy way to have favorites is by the "presets" menu. (the satellite program can't easily save favorite channels - the interface and how it saves favorites is a mess).

This is very annoying if you listen to satellite radio. I think it could be fixed. I am not sure why they have not updated any of the software yet.

I agree. We should all send emails I guess. I believe they do make interface improvements at least somewhat often. I heard others back a few months ago complaining the clock disappeared on several of the screens. That does not appear to be an issue for me now.

 

Bump, has this just died? My 2012 is like this :( I miss my 2008 135i integration!
