Aerojammin,

Thank for sharing picture with us. This is a great looking car that will give you miles of pleasure. Looks like the weather was just right to go topless.

Please give us more pics soon.

thanks aiiee... i've actually been emailing the guy at autopaintguard.com... so far the closest installer is about 3 hours from me. i may do that, but i hate the idea of getting a chip on the way to the clear-bra install. but i may not have much choice.

how does the clear-bra look on yours? i really don't like the seam of the clear-bra but have been reading other threads about the number of chips and thinking it might be good insurance.

hope everyone that's taken delivery is having fun!

the integrity is in NYC today! scheduled to be in charleston on the 21st.

mini_dreams: I'm very happy with my clearbra install. I can hardly see the edge, but I think that varies not so much with the install quality ( that hood line is right out there in plain sight so most detailers will get that part looking good I think ) but more with the color. My Indi Blue showed the line more than AB does. As to the 3 hour drive, I have read where someone recommended getting a roll of that wide blue painters tape that is designed to not leave a residue, and cover the front of your car with it, until you can get the clear bra installed. Not only does it protect but gives a very unique look

I've had clear bras on my last three cars and will continue to do so. Just make sure you shop around, prices for the front end can vary from $300 to more than $700, and price does not equate to quality either .

If I get the chance I'll try to get more pictures up.

psb and Rachel, from what we (wk 37)could figure out the ships (Pegasus-mine; Equueleus-yours) were hitting PortHueneme first then San Diego.. which would have put me in port around 10/11th... for sure 12th when it left SD... when I called the dealer (my MA was off) but the other gal said give it another week and half it has to get to the VDC then up to the Bay Area... well, I would have thought it was already to VDC but according to her it was arriving there by Monday... (closed Sunday). So realistically (espcially psb if you're trucking to Oregon or are you flying down south?) look for the dealer to call you to come get it after next weekend.. bummer. I was wanting mine this week (ordered back in July!!!!).

I think for the Pegasus Leader it said "last port: Long Beach"

But for equueleus it said last port UK, next port UK... as if it's only stop were in SD... who knows.. maybe we were on another ship but I've looked everywhere and the only auto cargo ship I could ever find coming into Port Hueneme on the 16th was the Equueleus.. I still have faith we're on that ship..

So let's see.... ship gets in Monday and I'm only picking up from Long Beach... should I assume that I will have my car by next weekend!?

I'm so excited... I'm so .... scared... (saved by the bell reference

I'm pretty sure that is Long Beach, since I see the Catalina Jet there and the Catalina Jet doesn't run out of San Diego at all! Hopefully good ol' Equueleus will sail out of LB tonite and be in Port Hueneme early tomorrow morning!

Never did find out what boat she was on but, she made it to the VDC on Tuesday and Vegas late Friday. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures yet and the drive from Vegas back to Phoenix was plagued with rain and bugs. BTW the auto-sensing rain wiper setting is awesome. Nothing like watching the MINI do a little jig.

If only my MINI would be dropped off in NY instead of SC. I can't belive it takes a week for the Integrity to get from NY to SC.

Patience, Patience, Patience I guess is key. 2 weeks yet.

I agree!! I'm thinking I should have bought my Mini from Mini of the Hamptons... then I could have spent some time in NYC seeing friends, museums, etc. and then motor back home! Oh well... only about 2 weeks now, hopefully less.

Good motoring vibes for those hoping to pick up their Minis this week!

well, the equuleus leader has left port! Which means... our cars have been unloaded!

My OL doesn't say 'at VDC' yet... how long does it usually take after getting off the boat for it to change?

Crossing my fingers that:

1) I get my mini this weekend!
2) I don't have so much homework that I'll be stuck inside when I should really be out motoring!

sh**... I just listed my car in autotrader a few days ago (2000 honda civic) and a dad and his daughter came by to look at it tonite, and the idiot I am I was so excited to sell it so quickly, I say 'sure you can pick it up tomorrow!'

No MINI yet tho... I'll have to rent a car till Friday.. now I really need it by Sat!!

I didnt think I would be sad to see the ol' honda go... but now that it's actually going, I'm sad!! That car has taken me lots of places and has been through a lot of life moments with me... I'm sure the sadness will subside when I get the MINI but for now, I feel guilty! Especially since it's still in good condition... alright enough mushy stuff

I say that's a good sign... now your Mini will come sooner!

Congrats on selling your car... it's good that you were able to sell it so quickly. Honda's always go fast, I think. It's hard to let cars go... I had a Mitsubishi Mirage that I didn't even like that much and selling it was strange. Hope your Mini arrives soon!

Where are all the other PW 38ers? Brad and Namvet66... weren't you taking delivery today?

Heres the latest on my Mini:

It was supposed to be at dealership the 10th of October, than my MA tells me the 13th. My MA calls me the 13th to tell me that it had not arrived but could come in on the truck on the 14th.

I called Monday the 16th no return call from MA. I left word early this AM, no return call so I called ay lunch time and got me MA.

It seems that my car is still in Charleston, (has been since the 25th of Sept) the manifest papers got screwed up (why, I don't know).

My MA hopes to get delivery in the next two weeks.

He thought that he had signed me up for some email program that kept customers in touch with the procress of their Mini, but he had not (I am now).

I ask him if the email program is any more reliable than the OL Ask Mini...he said well its a new program, which means to me NO!

I'm disappointed, but the deal was it could take 6 to 8 weeks so will see how this unfolds.

sorry to hear about this namvet66... that's really frustrating. I hope that things get figured out soon. did your OL ever give you an "estimated delivery date"? (It's under the "Review Order" section). Probably doesn't help much, but I'm sure it will all be worth it when it gets there.

Thanks! It sure was! I'll get pics soon! We took one of us at the dealership and then one of Gus outside the nice little cabin we stayed in.

Thanks! We are very very pleased with BRG/White and the two tone gray leatherette interior. We got the regular dash (looks like stainless steel) with the chrome line interior. I'll try to snap some pics of that as well!

On another note, my first of three boxes of cleaning supplies came! Ordered all the same day and Griot's Garage got here first! I am going home to Michigan this weekend and hope to get Gus washed waxed, and protected for the winter. It's looking like 50 degrees and a 30% chance for rain on Saturday so hopefully I can get just enough dry weather to wash it, then pull into the garage and do the detailing!
