Yes we have estimated date of 10/10, but MA said they always have to add 1 to 2 days to that before it get to their dealership.

Got ya! Last night when we were seeing our MA she checked the status and it was released to a truck and on its way to Chicago. It's about a 20 hour drive I think...So, with any luck it should be in by late Thursday or even Friday afternoon! Again, with any luck!

this crossing the ocean part is getting to me. I can't think about much else besides long road trips.

okay, to take our minds off things (and perhaps we covered this already, but I don't remember) is anyone getting the iPod adapter? I've been looking at Denison's DICE, which is similar to the BMW/Mini one, but supposedly slightly better because it displays track info on the radio unit. So far, I can't find any car audio installers around here that know anything about it. I suppose my Mini dealer might install it if I bought it, but their installation prices are whacked.

mini_dreams: nothing specific, my MA assures me it is common for the truck to arrive a day or two after the date in the OL.

We'll be sure to post pics! If all goes as planned (probably wont! LOL) we'll be picking Gus up on Saturday or Monday. If it's Saturday I think we are going to take a little weekend getaway to St. Louis or maybe up to WI. In preperation of Gus coming home we took Monday off!

 

Picked up today, I was planning on Friday but my business trip was cancelled, so I was motoring by 1 PM!

If you get a chance, lets see a pic, even though we know what a wk 38 MINI looks like I haven't seen one yet .

 

Just got a message back from my MA. Should have my MINI by the end of the month. 2 weeks and 2 days away.

The back wiper parts is going to be fixed so I don't have to worry about leaking.

The chrome tips are standard on all 06 MINIs. But if you get the aero kit, you need to add the sport chrome tip to make it look right.

Come on Integrity get over to the US!!

 

It's nasty weather here today (I still enjoyed the drive), it had 10UK miles and 10US miles when I picked up. It now has 200 miles. I'll take pictures when the sun peeks out.
My MA was great, he actually picked me up at the airport (27 miles from the dealership). Several freebies and just an overall great guy.

I am still waiting and hoping for a Friday or Saturday pick-up date. I have not heard from my MA today so I don't know if it got to the dealership or not.

Just got off the phone, my MA called to say that estimated delivery date to dealership has been move from10/10 to 10/13, so I probbably will not take ownership until next week, oh well good things are worth the wait, but DARN IT

Maersk Wind. Landed 5 October, left DC 7 October, arrived at the dealership 9 October, motoring on 11 October.
