Weather permitting, I'll get some daytime clear shots and maybe a few action shots.

That is NOT FAIR! Did you bribe somebody? We were on the Maersk Wind and landed 5 October. We are STILL waiting hoping for delivery by 10/13 and we're only in Chicago which isn't much further than Ft. Wayne! You must have been the first off the boat and last on the trailer!

Congrats! I'd like to be bitter but I just can't!

just be happy you didn't get bumped off the first boat and then have to wait a whole week extra just to get on a boat.

And why does it take only 1 week to travel the Atlantic and another whole week to get from NY to SC. If only I could talk my MA into having my MINI dock in NY and then put it on a truck to MN from there. I could get it a week earlier.

Brad,

I'm in the same boat as you, or I was anyway The car STILL is not at the dealer in Mentor, OH. I wonder if it's been kidnapped!

I have been on order since 15 August, not sure how that compares to everyone else. I was actually offloaded in Dublin, OH at the dealership. I rented a car to make the 3 hour drive south and make pick up.

Maybe I'll join you at one of the Chicago club outings and buy you a bitter, that would be more enjoyable than being bitter!

LOL that would be great! We're actually doing the Starved Rock Run at the end of the month. It would be great to meet any fellow MINI'ers!

I'm in PW37 but jumped over to see how the PW38 group was advancing. I've had delay after delay, and I've made my MA aware of it - he says there is no rhyme or reason for it. My Mini was on the Frisia which docked just ahead of the MW on 10/05, and according to my MA as of today my Mini is still sitting on the dock in Charleston! That's on top of a long wait in Southampton after production was finished on 9/13.

Best of luck in receiving your Mini's swiftly. Looks like several of you will be motoring before I am. Congrats!

My MA says my car which was on the MW, just got loaded onto a truck on the 11th, 6 days after arriving at the VDC. and one day after the OL said it should be in the dealer's hands. I'm thinking it gets here when it gets here

i don't think it was the 'official' mind meld email, but it was an email from LB mini asking me what options I wanted... I don't think all dealers send it out..

The owners lounge says mine is at the dealer so it shouldn't be long now. Still have never received a single communication from my dealer during the entire process.

Caring for a MINI sure is expensive!!!

Well guys, I did it...I ordered all my cleaning / car care products last night... Here is what I got:

Griot's Garage
----------------------
35 oz Wheel Cleaner (and a finest sprayer)
Fine glass polish
Vinyl & rubber dressing
Best of show wax kit
car wash
Free bottle of speedshine

Grit Guard
----------------
2 Grit Guard inserts

Autopia
--------------
Meguiars Versa-Angle tire brush
Real wool washmit
2 Sonus ultimate drying towel (MF)
2-pack of Sonus ultimate detailing towels (MF)
Plexus Plastic polish
Free bottle of Sonus detaling spritz

I spent over 200 bucks and I don't think my fiancee is speaking to me still!!!! (just kidding, she's not that mad)

No mine is Mini of Sterling. The most they have ever been able to tell me when I call them is what it says on the owners lounge.

congrats brad!! i'm still weighing/learning all of the detailing options. I might go with Prima products since Detailer's Paradise has a 'beginner's' package. I think Girot's does too, but more expensive. It sound like everyone loves Girot's (depsite the price) and Meguiars, too. I gotta figure it out soon. Would like to have it before my Mini arrives.

Also want to order the M7 strut reinforcement plates. By the way, does anyone know... do these come as a set of two for $109 or is each one $109? It's not clear on the M7 website.

I was originally thinking I would get the iPod adapter, but now might just get the Aux input. Can't operate it from the steering wheel, but because of the adapter's "playlist only" functioning, it seems like I'd be forever fast forwarding to find a song I'm in the mood for. I may wait to see if I can find someone to do the DICE, but it requires a lot of installation work.

sounds like we're going to be seeing some more W38 pictures today or this weekend! Enjoy!
