I duno what boat that is but my mini is awaiting for 2 days now and 3 by the time you see this in the morning.

 

Spoke with Jeremy at Ask-MIni, he said my Mini is assembled and in QC. Should be out of QC in couple of days, then on a train to the shipping dock to wait for ocean crossing.

 

I too just spoke with Jeremy at Ask-MINI. Ours is still in the paint shop! It's been there for three days now! Hopefully it is out of the paint shop tomorrow. As it is 5:00 PM in Oxford right now I was hopeing that today it finished up in the paint shop. Maybe they need more time to put the sweet BRG paint on!

We have a road trip planned from Chicago to Michigan Oct. 20th so I'm hoping and praying Gus is to us by then! Having a specific date I am hoping for the car is NOT making the wait any easier! LOL

 

Mine is in the paint shop today! Still says a scheduled completion of today... so we'll see!

I hope that you get your Mini in time for the Michigan run. Mine was to be completed on the 20th, is in QC. By the way I did ask about sea travel time, once underway the ship take 10 - 14 days according to Ask-Mini. Please keep me posted on your tracking status.

 

Basil is a week 37, and he has been waiting at the dock for a week now to hitch a ride to the west coast.... You can kill some waiting time at the Port Hueneme website (www.portofhueneme.org) and see some pictures of minis waiting to go home According to that website, WW is the only "registered" car carrier shipping line for Port Hueneme - I don't know if that means anything or not.

Can't wait to motor!

How are you guys finding out that it is in the paint shop, QC, etc... when I speak to a rep at ASK-MINI, they just say... "in production"...

Also, the automated voice tells me my car will be completed on Sept. 25, but the "real" person says Sept. 27.

The weather here has been beautiful this week! It would be perfect sunroof open, Mini motoring weather! Hopefully it will be nice in late Oct., too.

 

I was a part of 36 for a while, then 37 for much longer, now im going to be shipped probably with 38 people.

I realize that it's not things getting "delayed" as it is your dealer doing deals and moving things around that speeds you or delays you. Factory just plugs out hundreds of these things non stop.

 

According to the Ask-Mini automated service, my MINI is supposed to be done on Sept. 25th. Yeh!!! I guess that means I am part of this group.

Any idea about when I can expect it in Minnesota(Moterwerks).

Gus is thru production! I spoke with Patrick at Ask Mini this morning. He said our Mini is on the way to South Hampton to catch a ride to Charleston, NC, which will take 10-14 days.

 

Well looks like i'm in this group too. I placed my order last Saturday the 16th. The dealer entered it in the system on the 18th. I just got off the phone with ask-MINI and I went in to production on the 19th!. Automated system says completion on the 25th, but the "live" person said the 28th.

 

My Mini is finally done today!

When I called ASK MINI the automated system told me 'body shop' then the next day 'paint shop' then today 'production is complete!'

Hope it doesn't take too long to hitch a ride!

 

I spoke to Robert at Ask-Mini he said my Mini is oruduced but not shipped. I tried to get more info but could'nt get it.

I will call back this PM and see what they tell me.

 

I just talked to Jared at Ask-Mini and my Mini is at South Hampton waiting on ship.

Yes... in my previous wait (before I reordered Grover), I went to the dealer and they were able to tell me the name of the ship that my car was on (some ships are not trackable on the WW site listed in the "tracking your Mini" thread) and it's approximate departure and arrival dates. From that, he calculated an arrival date at the VDC and then at the dealership. He was accurate to about 1 or 2 days.

Of course, I may have gone to the dealer at the "right" time... when this info was available to them... one or two days earlier, perhaps it wouldn't have been. Also, the MA that helped me is one of the friendlier, more helpful MAs at the dealership... All MA's might not want to click their mouse buttons so much.

 

If it helps at all, my Basil (week 37) was finished on the 14th, placed on the ship on the 18th for the left coast. Now here's what I was hearing from the OL and AskMini; As of this morning, my car was still waiting to get on a ship, and according to OL, it is still waiting for a ship. Just found out late this morning that it sailed a few days ago....

Mine is bound for SC on the "Maersk Wind". it has not left the southhampton dock yet.

Leave South Hampton 9/25

Arrive SC. 10/4

After some of you check lets see what you come up with and if I am reading this right.

I read the forums for production week 37, they are a week ahead of us so naturally I figured it stood to reason they have been thru this and low and behold there it was, we can always learn from READING

Have you tried it to see if it gives you any info on your Mini?

 

I have read well over 3000 posts on various topics and 100's on this topic.
you dont have to be annoying about it.

No one else has claimed to know what ship they WILL be on besides you. Would be fascinating to find out your source. So i asked.

There are 3 ship lines and no garauntee of being on any of them, and there's no preloading vin number thing, its all ex post facto information.

 

I don't see an option called Vehicle Search under Customer Center. There is a Cargo Tracking option that takes you to a screen where you have to choose what kind of cargo. If you select Auto Cargo you can enter a VIN, but I've been doing that for the last 10 days and still get nothing. I thought you had a hot, new method for finding out where my Mini was. I'm a week 37-er, my completion date was 9/13, and my Mini seems to be lost. There are VINs before and after mine that are allready on booking lists and at sea. Mine seems to have fallen off the radar.
