Hi All,

I just spoke to the folks at ASK Mini... they said my car started production this morning! (and it's my birthday today, too... what a great present).

Does that mean I am in this support group? (I wasn't sure since others started production last week).

Anyway, they are saying scheduled completion date of the 27th... I didn't know it took that long... I thought they produced them in about a week.

I can't wait to Motor. Happy waiting to everyone!

I too just got off the phone and our MINI started production on the 13th. We should be done by the end of the week she thought. How exciting!

I wish they would fly it over the pond rather than boat it!

It should be here in time to use the cold weather package! BOO!

 

I spoke to Ask-Mini this morning and was told that my Mini was in the body shop, scheduled for completion on 9-20, then off to the docks waiting a ride across the pond.

 

Namvet66: Did they give you an idea of how long it will be waiting for the ride across the pond????

 

anyone in week 38 getting their mini delivered to the west coast? maybe we'll be on the same boat my mini is scheduled to be done this thurs. (sept. 21st)

Here's hoping there's a nice long fall so that you can drive with the windows down (sunroof? open) before breaking in those heated seats.

 

Mine will be coming in to California also... then up to Oregon! I hope they leave soon after they are finished. I have heard 23 days to float to California give or take a day. Mine should be done on the 19th or 20th...

 

I looked on the WW site, and it looks like there's a boat scheduled to leave for Port Hueneme on the 25th... but, I also know that a lot of mini's coming to the West Coast don't sail on WW's... I guess we'll find out soon enough!

I don't have an estimated travel time across the pond, but I will ask them next time I call. This morning Goliath was in the paint shop, from there to assembly and then QC.

I am from week 37...just killing time...Mini is waiting to board her boat next week....so I thought I would hop over here and say enjoy your production....

Trust the ASK MINI live person or MA over the OL or automated ASK MINI...when you are looking for updates.

 

yeah... ASK MINI says 'your mini is in production, with a scheduled completion date of Sept. 14th' ... confusing, seeing as it is already the 19th! But a rep from ASKMINI says it will be done Sept. 21

my owner's lounge just updated to "scheduled for production" and i have a VIN number!

man, the waiting is killing me though!

 

I spoke with Ask-mini this morning and was told that still in paint shop, but should complete no later than Friday 9-22.

Then to shipping, which once it is loaded and the ship is underway figure 10 to 14 day travel to states.

So far I guess my Mini is still on schedule ordered the 1st of Sept. and the MA said 6 to 8 weeks.

Any one have any other updates?

 

My mini is finished as of yesterday according to ask mini , and should be going to the shipping docks soon! I hope us west coasters get outa port soon! I would love to have my mini before november first!

My mini was finally completed on the 17th and was considered week 37 but really is not anymore as it was supposed to be completed by the 15th. Blech. Well, I guess I am with some of you guys shipping wise. Mine's headed to Newark NJ but there's no info on a ship yet. ask mini said it normally takes 3-4 days from sitting at the port to boarding a ship.

I wonder, if it is not a WW, then what are the other shipping companies?

 

is anyone awaiting transport yet? week 36 has like 600 posts... i think we should beat em >:D
