The birth of a new MINI is a Big Deal. I fully support your desire for a party and shower...

Maybe we could convince the good moderators at NAM to help set up a registry?

Hope springs eternal...

The system is very slow to update. Once your car is booked on a ship, you sort of have to do the rest yourself. It's most likely going to be on a WW ship. You can go to www.2wglobal.com and go to Customer Centre > Cargo Tracking > Auto Cargo and then enter your VIN. Once you do that, it will tell you what vessel you're booked on, when your car is loaded, and the vessel's schedule. Then you can go to www.sailwx.info and put in your ship's name to see it make its happy jaunt across the Atlantic!

Has anyone made it onto the Boheme yet? I just checked my VIN and it still isn't showing that it has been loaded yet. The OL has even caught up and is saying "Awaiting Transport". Just wondering if anyone else has checked their VIN today?

I just checked WW and my VIN did not register so I guess we did not make the ship. Looks like next departure is 1 September.

Hi all. I've just been lurking, but am another "week 34" member. Oddly enough, the MINI web-tracker's been pretty accurate for me (BRG MCS), and went smoothly from "production" to "waiting transportation" seemingly on time. (This gauging by the couple of times that I called 866-ASK-MINI and spoke to a real person.) Production finished on Friday, I think, and as of first thing this morning my VIN was trackable on the Boheme. (!!!!!) I think I shrieked aloud when I plugged in my VIN for the umpteenth time and finally saw the info come up.

Oddly enough, though, when I look for the Boheme on www.sailwx.info (I want to watch it cross the pond!), the last coordinates that appear are from July 12. Anyone else experiencing this?

For that site to work, the ship has to be out to sea. If it's too close to land, it won't show up. It should in a day or two.

Congratulations and welcome to week 34, Lyrebard. Where are you located?

My automated message is still saying it's at the port awaiting a shipping vessel. Knowing my luck, my MINI will end up either missing the Boheme and being delayed 4 or more days, or on one of those mysterious untrackable ships . Then a new hurricane will develop in the meantime and delay further. Trying to stay optimistic, but since it was completed on the 23rd and still not showing up, I'm thinking that this might be the case.

AH! If it has to be far enough away from shore, that would explain why I couldn't see it either yesterday or today. That's one mystery solved.

I'm located in NYC. In fact, a few people I know have asked whether I plan to show up at the docks with a welcome basket. (They shouldn't plant ideas like that in my head!) But I'd completely neglected to account for hurricanes...that would certainly slow things down. Of course, I'm going on holiday for five days, and that should help distract me from the waiting.

As for finding my MINI on the Boheme, I just stalked the Wallenius Wihlmsen site...didn't depend on MINI's automated messages for that one.

Haha! That is a great idea. Unfortunatly I'm just a little too far from Charleston to be there when it docks...I guess maybe that's a good thing since it has to go to the dealer for bonnet stripes anyway...

I have also been plugging my VIN in on the WW site since 7:30 this morning and still getting no tracking info. Did it give you the booking number? I read on another support group that if you search by the booking number it shows all of the MINI VIN's that have been loaded on the ship.

This suspense is killing me and completely distracting!!! Meanwhile, I have to show my current car to some prospective buyers this afternoon without know when my MINI will actually arrive...fingernails are officially gone :impatient .

Don't worry if it doesn't show up on the ship... Mine was in 'mystery' mode for quite a while and apparently ended up on another shipping line other than WW. Once your automated message or OL changes to 'En Route' you are definately on a boat. If you get on a WW ship, it may take a bit to update, and at least you can track it...

I fear mine is no longer trackable in any way other than ASK MINI and OL updates

I'm going on vacation tomm. anyways till Sept. 4, so I guess it's a good thing!

Cool site, thanks ukhan24! Just got on there and see the Boheme sitting there. Anyone who finds out that you're on the Boheme, you can go to the site ukhan24 mentioned and see where you baby's sitting for the moment!

Thanks, mini-mine! I'm keeping my fingers crossed but trying not to get my hopes up too much. As long as it gets on a ship in the next few days and can hopefully have fair weather all the way. It is good to know that if I do end up on a mystery ship, I won't be the only one feeling separation anxiety . Hopefully you will hear something soon!

So far Lyrebard is the only one of us who has reported being confirmed on the Boheme. I have stopped checking the WW site for today. I have a feeling that if it's not showing up by now, it's not on there. Maybe it's on/will be on a K-line ship like mini-mine mentioned.

New (866) ASK MINI Message

I just called and the message says that our MINI was released to a carrier for departure from the port of entry. However, the WW site does not show my VIN made the Boheme today.

Glad to hear everyone's good news .

Unfortunately, I am still stuck on "at the dock awaiting transport" . I am getting even more nervous because I am selling my car tomorrow. Hopefully things will start to fall into place soon....
