Excellent color combo! I love the jolly roger on the sunroof, it's a great touch!

Cool roof PT91. Curious though, why is there a horizontal line through the top of the bones?

Thanks Doodlez! I also had that stuff come out of my rear wiper. I used the 1st Place finish restore that I got from flow MINI and it removed it easily. I also found some fine line scuffs on my front pillar that I didn't notice when I picked up the car and the 1st Place wax buffed it out as well, awesome stuff.

Split/gap from the sunroof. The graphic is only on the glass.

First 1000 Miles

I turned 1000 miles on my way home from my fiance's house last night - I'm having a blast!

I've found that trying to keep below 4500 RPM is a larger challenge than I thought - I've tripped a couple of times... Keeping below 95 MPH is a bit easier, but still a challenge. The flow of traffic on some Atlanta-area freeways on the weekend can hit 90+ MPH. I found myself edging towards 95 just trying to stay out of the way... At least I only have another 250 miles of break-in left...

I got to play in the north Georgia mountans over the weekend - there are some great roads up there, without too much traffic.

How is everyone else doing? Is anyone still awaiting delivery?

I'm edging up on 800 miles after a drive out to the NC coast this past weekend. In two weeks I, too, will be cruising the N. GA mountains and will probably be done with the break-in by the end of that trip!

I can forsee an increased propensity for speeding tickets! It just doesn't seem like the car is going 70 when you're at 80 .

Are there any more week 34's still waiting for delivery or is everyone happily motoring??

The mountains are simply beautiful this time of year - and you'll get to see more color than I did this weekend...

Cool, what part of the coast?
I just gassed up for the first time today at 433 miles which put me at an average of 33mpg, half of that was rural highway, half town.

My boyfriend was working a cycling event that started in Banner Elk, crossed the state, and ended on Saturday in Emerald Isle, so I met him out there. We tried to go to Cape Lookout light, but the weather wasn't great and the ferries weren't running, so we just tooled around Beaufort for a while before heading back. Just a good reason to make another trip when the weather is nice!

My first tank was about 100 mi. of freeway and the rest city, averaging ~27 mpg. The second one with half rural highway and half city was ~34 mpg. I can't wait for my next road trip!

Hey there PW 34! It's been a month since I took delivery of Guinness, and I just got back from my first road trip. All I can say is - Wow! Got some twisty time in there and what fun! All I want to do now is drive . I completed the break-in on my way down to N. GA and have about 1900 miles on the clock now.

How's everyone doing?

A week without Junior!

I went out West to visit family, and had to spend a week in a rented Camry... Yuck!!! I've never been so happy to come home...

Seeing Junior waiting patiently in the airport parking lot was the highlight of the trip

Now, if I could just shake the head cold I picked up on the return flight... :impatient

Hello PW 34 Friends... We have been enjoying our new MCS. We just turned over 1400 miles and one month of ownership.

Everything has been great with the exception of a flat tire in week 2 and the fact that we are still waiting on a new driver's door panel. Apparently the factory installed on the wrong color and the dealership, in an attempt to be helpful, changed it out with one that had the HK package. They removed the HK covers which were larger than the original covers which left an indented ring around the inside door handle.

We see other MINIs on the road every day going to and from work. It will be nice to meet some of the owners. We recently joined DC Metro MINIs and look forward to getting together at some of their upcoming events as well.

Happy Motoring

Hi PW 34-

I'm so glad we're all MINI-ied--your cars all look fantastic!

I can't believe I've been Motoring for over a month now! When I got my insurance coverage, I told them I likely wouldn't be driving more than about 4,000 miles a year (we live in NYC and only drive to get OUT of NYC!). But we've been out on the road every single weekend since: Down to DC and back, up to Boston and back...it's been a blast!

In fact, the odometer just passed 1400 miles. Break-in period over! Woo-hoo!!!! Which, I think, means it's time for the unofficial oil change, me thinks. Just bought a couple of filters, and my boyfriend and I are going to tackle that project this weekend. Anyone else going to change out the oil after break-in? Anyone done it already?

Wow, ukahn! You sure are motoring...just like you should be! I hit 2,000 yesterday. My commute is only 8 miles and I haven't had a lot of time to do a lot of "for fun" driving yet, but in time my friends, in time. After all, the NC mountains aren't too far!

On another note, has anyone in PW 34 received anything in the mail from MINI recently? I got something today and was wondering who else got it. I won't spoil any surprises for others by saying what it was, but just wanted to see if anyone has gotten anything!

Hope everyone's motoring up a storm!
