Yes, I believe that all of the Georgia MINI's come through Charlston - so our destinies are joined!

 

They have baby and wedding showers.... So why not? I'll register at M7...

 

 

Also, don't panic (like I did :impatient) if it doesn't show up at all in the WW system and it seems like you have missed quite a few boats for no apparent reason - you most likely got put on another shipping line like me and another person in Houston did... It just blows because you can't track it across the ocean...

 

I quite seriously told my mom that I'd like to have a "homecoming" shower/party for Stella. Unfortunately, she laughed in my face...

 

Well, I just spoke to (866) ASK MINI and the CR told me that our MINI was in the Paint Shop. It was scheduled for completion yersterday so it appears they may be running a couple of days behind.

 

my mini is yet to be named...but i will be throwing a party without a doubt! outside BBQ party while i install stuff.

I spoke with Mini 866# earlier this week and was advised, I was in the Body shop. Called on Thursday and they say I'm also in the Paint shop. I was told I would be done 8/23 and now they are saying today, 8/25...Not sure at this point.....just Impaitently Still waiting!!!!!

Hmm, it sounds like the timelines are all sort of jumbled up. My MA first told me that mine was scheduled for completion on 8/22, but when I called ASK MINI it always told me 8/23. I plan to call a little later to make sure that the information I got was accurate...I hope I'm not getting too excited too early .

I personally think I should be given time off from work when I get my MINI...I'd rather have that than a MINI shower, but either one will do .

I'm still trying to figure out a name for mine...perhaps it will come to me once I see it in person.

What kinds of goodies have you all gotten so far to help ease the waiting? I'm eyeing the grille badge holder at the moment, but since my bday will be in Oct I might just mention that to my boyfriend as a gift (gotta save up for the down payment!). Oh yeah, and some "spa" products for the little tyke, too hehe!

I just called Mini and looks like we will be traveling across the Pond together. My Mini is in the process of being transported to the Shipping area....Yea.........finally...it's built...now just a few more weeks.....

 

same situation here its schedules for completetion today unfortunitly i call ask mini and they say its in the paint shop but when i tlak to a live person it says its in the assembly line....

Griff you have same color as me so i guess me and ur mini were painted together lol

I think once you're in assembly it goes really quick. It sounds like yours will probably be done today or tomorrow, and that means it will be finished in time to make it onto the Boheme on 8/29!

Once it's in the paint shop it goes real fast... When mine was listed as paint shop, it was finished the next day, then at the port the day after that...

 

Thanks for all of the information... Sometimes I think that it may be better not to know, this is quite nerve racking. Our MINI was supposed to be produced 3 weeks ago. Nevertheless we will be happy to get her...

 

ok this wait is harder for me now cause yesterday i went to the dealer and test drove a mini cooper s.... it was amazing ...... i can't wait untill i get the car ...................

Yeah, the wait is rough on me too not just because I really want my MINI, but because I put up an ad for my current car yesterday and already have a bunch of people who want to buy it right NOW!! But I kinda need it at least until a week before the MINI arrives....sooooo, hurry up boats, get there early!!

 

I've read that from several people. If you watch that time lapse photo video on the MINI USA site though, it looks as though the paint shop is about one-third of the way in

 

it looks like mine will be finished tommrow now its witing time for the boat ...... man this wait stuff is really hard... i didn't know it was going to get this bad.... i think i need to take mini off my head please help me

oh and i wish i can see how my car will look right now haha i wish they had videos of what was going on in the factory that woud be coool

 

I just checked the automated Vehicle Production Status on (866) ASK MINI and our MINI has departed for the port... Hopefully it will make the ship to the East Coast on the 29th.
