doodlez...
I also just checked OL on mine and it's showing at the Dist Ctr and an estimated delivery date of 9/16, that was yesterday. I didn't think they updated on weekends, but they did as I checked OL late last nite and was still In Transit.....I'm going to go nutz.... Is yours showing at the Dist Ctr or at the dealership on OL?

The solution (for the benefit of anyone who has not yet ordered a car) is to have the local Mini dealership give you a look at the inventory of cars already built and sitting on the factory parking lot in Oxford. They can bring all of that up on the computer there at the dealership, and in my own case a small deposit of $500 was all that was required to get the car headed my way.

I got almost exactly what I wanted and only waited 4 weeks for delivery. The only draw-back was paying $425 for dealer installed fog lights that otherwise cost $150 as a factory option. But I got a fully populated toggle switch panel out of the deal that would not have been installed at the factory.

I just checked my OL page and it says I am at the distribution center, no word from my dealer (flow). The way I have been dealing with the wait, which has made it easy for me is a major deadline coming up this week, getting new work done for an art show.
Do I want time to pass quicker or do I need time to pass slower? I decided I will take as much time as I can get. I am still excited about the arrival but it will get here when it gets here. Sorry, I'm buzzed on turpentine...

Congrats ukahn24! We can't wait to see your pics! I don't know what to tell you about the break-in other than try to follow what the manual says as best you can.

My OL is saying "At the Distribution Center," not at the dealer yet. My week is also pretty busy, and the dealer is about 2 hrs away, so Friday might have to be the day regardless. We shall see.

Is everyone ready?? I still haven't gotten my new washing/detailing accessories yet.:impatient Somebody help me, I've got it bad!

I'm ready! (kind of...)
Yeah, got plenty of products to baby Gertrude with when she gets home. I get on the redeye to Boston tonight and pick up MINI in the morning and take off into the rain to drive WEST...
Had a great time last night picking out road trip music to take.
My only worry is if airport security decides my license plates are a dangerous weapon

Good to know...

I'm happy to hear that our folk are beginning to take delivery! Please post pics and experiences as you get them - it helps keep the rest of us sane! :impatient :impatient

I'm still showing at the VDC in Charlston, so I figure it will be at least Saturday before I can pick up baby... I'm having a bunch of stuff installed at the dealer, so it will take them an extra day or two to process once he arrives.

Keep those cards and letters coming!

Finally...arrived....

I got a call this morning from my MA and my car is ready for delivery today. Unfortunately, I thought I had another week, so I'm not prepared to pickup until Thur/Friday this week. i thought the wait has been hard, knowing that it's in the area and I'm not taking delivery ASAP, it's killing me. Oh well, a couple more sleepless nites, then it will be in its own MiniCave aka Garage, safe and sound...

Hooray, Spring! I understand your situation. If my MA calls me today with similar news, I will still need to wait until Thurs/Fri because of work events that require my presence. Not to mention going to the bank, etc.

But...at least it's here!! I can't wait to see those pics.

Ours arrived at the dealer today. We got a nice note and some pics via email.
Unfortunately we can't pick her up until the 30th because of travel plans.
The accessories are already here waiting for her.

Hi guys! I really got to break the car in this weekend--he's over 300 miles old now! (He hit three digits while we were driving through Pennsylvania.) I got two waves already: one while on the highway--an electric blue MINI whose driver waved as excitedly as I did--and one in a parking lot! We'd already gotten out of the car when the MINI passed by us, but we both waved simultaneously. I love this club!

I will say that it's INCREDIBLY hard to keep it under 4500 RPM, and under 95 MPH. In fact, it's so difficult that I actually told my boyfriend that he had to keep it under 4000 RPM and 90 MPH because I knew he'd be pushing it as close as he could (and occasionally going over in the process, lol).

And wow...SO. MUCH. FUN. I'm totally, utterly, completely in love. And when my bf got back into his Porsche 928 (a V8, front-engine, touring car), the first thing he said was: This thing drives like a bus in comparison!
