I'm not sure if there are additional booking numbers that would correspond with more MINIs, but you can check your VIN against the ones on the ship and perhaps see if your car sneaked on and just hasn't been updated yet?

Now, the weird thing is that ALL the ones I clicked on (I just checked out a few to see what info they had) arrived at the port LATER than mine (8/16) and still made it on the ship! The earliest received date was 8/18 of the ones I clicked on, but most of them were 8/21 or 8/22! For example, these details were for a MINI with only the last two digits being different from my VIN:
RECEIVED AT TERMINAL SOUTHAMPTON 18/08/2006 02:43
BOOKED SOUTHAMPTON 19/07/2006 11:12
LOADED ON VESSEL SOUTHAMPTON 22/08/2006 16:47
Also, the turnarounds (ie from received to loaded) was only a few days max. whereas mine will now be two weeks if it gets on the 8/30 boat!
So that means a TON of other MINIs made it on that boat instead of mine!!
Even based on what my MA said, it seems awfully weird that that many MINIs would make it on the boat and mine wouldn't... I really am starting to think something happened to it like they were loading it and it got dented or something... That would just be my luck. There just doesn't seem to be a logical explanation of why it was left behind! The worst thing is that I will never know since, like someone posted before, they don't have to tell you about up to 3% damage of the value of the car
I don't see anyone else having this problem either, which adds to it... I mean, even some people in production week 34 are on the boat!!I guess when I DO finally get it, I'm checking that sucker over a thousand times!!
Bah Humbug! That is how I feel right now! Ok vent over... sorry
mini-mine, there's no need to apologize for your frustration. We all feel it with you! If you'd like to be absolutely sure, the booking number for the Courage is GBSOU450355; it looks like there are 96 vehicles on board. At least that way you'll know beyond a shadow of a doubt whether or not it's on a ship (at least, a ship headed to the East Coast). Maybe it's on a ship headed to the West Coast?
Please keep us updated, and we're pulling for you!

thats what i am wondering, perhaps its going to be on a westcoast ship instead of eastcoast
Why this would happen i am unsure. But it is the only thing i can think of. I hope it gets on a ship soon, keep us updated if you find any info.

Thanks Katherine and Mini Mizer!
I checked that booking number, and it's not on there either. I don't think it is on a boat and the site is correct. I very much doubt it will be on a west coast boat since my order listed Charleston as the port of entry, and my MA confirmed that again yesterday.
It's just a mystery I guess! I must have just been in that bad location in the line up that I just missed the Courage and then missed the Manon because I was packed in to far, ha... My suspicions are high, though... Nobody better have harmed my MINI!!

I'm going to REALLY worry if I don't get on the boat leaving 8/29

Maybe the Manon was full and they chartered slots on another ship? that is not WW's. This actully happens more then you think. I actully work for a shipping company.
But each company is different, so i dunno.

When you put in your VIN and it tells you the ship you're on and all that, the booking number is part of the information shown as well. It's in black and in bold.
Ex:
Cargo Status History
Cargo Id : VIN goes here
Booking Number : GBSOU450355 Bill Number: blah blah
Vessel: Courage Port of Origin: SOUTHAMPTON
Voyage: blah blah Port of Destination: NEW YORK, NY
... etc. etc.

Ah... OK. So if I'm not on a vessel I can't know the booking number.
I have another question. Does any one know how old the images from Google Earth are? I was looking for my dealer and there is just a dirt lot where they are located!

well it seems the party boat (Manon) is moving right along, reporting into sailwx.info every 6 hours for an update. I hope the hurricane/tropical storm doesnt mess with the delivery of our Mini's. :impatient
STAY AWAY DEBBY!
STAY AWAY DEBBY!
That's really cool that the Manon reports in every 6 hours - the Courage only reports every day or so
It looks like Debby is well south - let's just hope she stays there! It really doesn't look like she'll screw us up.

Ok, the plot thickens... ASK MINI updated to say my vehicle is in transit!!! So it must be on one of those ships?!! I don't understand since I checked all those VINs and it wasn't on there and the cargo site still doesn't pull up any info... LOL, how weird is that? I wonder what boat it is on then?!?!
I know! But there must be ANOTHER ship line or something right since the VIN doesn't show up in the list on those sites?! I thought WW was the only one to Charleston? Does anyone know? I want to be able to track it, haha...
like i said, the manon or courage could have been filled up and they bought slots on another ship lines vessel. This happens alot, atleast in the area i work. So your car may be on its way over, onboard a ship that is WW's competitor. If this infact is the case, it might be a little hard tracking your mini as it sails. As the WW site will not show a booking number or your VIN on their ship. Now if you could find out which ship your mini got chartered on to. Then you could check that companies ship for your VIN. But that may hard to find out as the shipping companies dont like to tell that they are actully shipping cargo on another companies vessel.
I hope all works out well for you! Keep in good spirit.

I was just looking at the Courage and Manon on sailwx.info and holy geez has the courage gone a long way! Stella must have tied a rope to her tow hook and hopped over the side to help pull the Ship faster!
I was also looking at the Manon's route, since it reports every 6 hours the dotes are alot closer together and you can get a more detailed route. While i was looking at it i couldnt help but laugh, because at 18:00 on Aug 23. The ships route dipped down slightly. Must have had too much Partying going on that night.
But it seems it has gone back to a relitively straight line.
Edit: This Post just put me into 3rd gear! woohoo!!!

My car is being shipped to the West Coast and I had been trying the WW website to no avail even after ask mini changed over to IN TRANSIT. So I went and read the thread on Track Your MINI not just the directions on how to track.
Mini-mine I would suggest you go read the whole thread if you have not already it supports what Mini-Mizer had to say about MINI using other companies. There are also some suggestions on how you might still track your mini, call your MA and if you can get info on the boat and company you might be able to find some way to track. Anyway congratulations on being in transit.

Thanks for the suggestions Soumaila. I think this is officially the hardest part of the wait! Since it takes two or so weeks just to the East Coast until any sort of update, it just seems like forever. Add to that not being able to track it across the ocean, and it makes seem seem even longer, ha. Oh well, I'm just happy it's on it's way.
I love how the OL still says my mini is "awaiting transport" and yet my mini is almost halfway across the atlantic ocean.
Go Go Go Manon!

I see the Manon forgot to report in one time, the party must still be raging!

I called ASK MINI last night and the automated message said "In Transit" man, did I get excited! So today I called and when I spoke with someone live they said that it hasn't been put on a vessel yet and that the automated message just says that because it's on the docks.

Not to be a downer, but I doubt that there would be any MINI's coming to CA yet. I haven't checked my automated status in a few days, but my boat for CA doesn't leave until the 30th of this month. But according to the site, it's the fastest boat that's coming up, hitting California in just 21 days (some are longer.. the dealer told me it would take 28)
