Can you all kindly report back with your info? Thanks!
Christian, I guess I hadn't posted it but my order date was 6/13/2006 and my completion date was 7/4/2006. How cool is it that my British car was built on the fourth of July and shipped to the USA on a ship called the Patriot (which should be in New York tomorrow).

Thanks for the research. That's very cool.

Thanks guys!

It was no trouble at all. You all have helped and continue to help me cope through this waiting period. It's the least I can do to thank ya'll. Besides, it keeps me busy. I mean, it's already the 15th! 5 more days until the Trinidad makes landfall!

BTW, I had to change the filename to display the last updated date/time. Correct link is in my sig.

Red Scooter: I haven't seen the posts but I did come across some pics on Flickr. Looks pretty cool!

Beauregard: That is so ironic! Now that's a special MINI.

Beauregard -

Are you going to name your MINI? Something patriotic perhaps?

Red Scooter - Awesome find with the picture of the Patriot!!! Thanks a bunch!! I thought I had read in another support thread some time ago that the Patriot was originally named something else, and sure enough.

crishchun - Thanks for putting all that info together!!! I've bookmarked it Here's my missing stuff:
- dealership: Checkered Flag in Virginia Beach, VA
- completion date: 7/3
- ship: I'm on the Patriot with Beauregard and creseida

A minor correction for MORTRBL - her dealership is also Checkered Flag.

Any Luck On The Dock?

My MINI has been sitting on the dock for about a week now. It is headed to the west coast. I haven't been able to get any information on shipping from the Willenius & Wihelmsman web site. I go to the tracking page. Select auto shipping, and put in my VIN number. Still no information. Am I doing something wrong? Is anyone else on the west coast having any luck?

Cheers,
Bruce

Hi Bruce,

I'm in the same boat (no pun) !

We West Coasters had an opportunity to get on the Madame Butterfly but none of us did.

The next WW ship is the Medea. It arrives on Monday. As I understand it (from AM and my MA) the wee cars typically are at the dock about a week before shipping.

So, Monday puts me (us?) about spot on a week. My little guy has been there since 7/7.

Once were on board, then the VIN will show the details.

Hope that helps.

Well Gang,
I think us west coasters are out of luck when it comes to details about shipping, and Tracking our MINIs, I have had the same problem Acording to the WW website they have no record of my MINI, but the OL says it is on that boat. I assume that my car was shipped out on the 1st on the Figaro, and due in LA on the 23rd. my mini was biult on 6/27. I am going to my dealer today in Portland to get some better information and finalise a few things. I will post later on what I learn, who knows maybe us west coasters are with another carier?

Hmmm...sounds like your situation is unique. All of my information is the same; my MA, OL and AM all say I am "awaiting transport". Apparently it takes about a week before you MINI is loaded on a ship. How long has your MINI been at Southampton?

crishchun,
Nice job on the spreadsheet.
My PW/B MC was ordered in Pittsburgh, Pa. on 6/24, was completed on 7/10, and is at the port awaiting transport to Charleston, SC. Hopefully she'll be at sea today or tomorrow.

Scooter, good idea. I haven't thought about a name yet. It probably should be something patriotic, maybe I should have put the American flag on the roof but I don't know how that would work with the sunroof.

Scooter, thanks from me also for the picture, and the Patriot (or it's icon) can now be seen in New York Harbour at http://aisfree.aislive.com/Influx.as...0York%20Harbor. Now I wonder how long we will have to wait for VPC and shipping?

Beauregard, that's awesome!! A full 24 hours ahead of schedule!!!!

If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have noticed this. I checked the map this morning and didn't see the Patriot listed, so I wouldn't have checked it again today.

Hey, I wasn't expecting to see it but I remembered the Undine showed up there the day before she was expected so I have been looking. At least we know she didn't sink during the crossing. I think it will still take her a while to get to the berth. The http://www.firstnynj.com/ site still has her scheduled for 7/16/2006 at 17:00 but that hasn't been updated since 7/11/2006. At any rate the crossing part of our wait has ended. Another segment begins.

Where are you getting the info for the Patriot arriving at NY? I just checked on http://www.2wglobal.com/www/wep/index.jsp which has the Patriot destination as Charleston, SC. My MA told me my MINI is on the Patriot too so I must be week 27 too.Load your VIN for the ID number in the box.

Voyage #: PATEB627SC or on the web site above it is listed as EB627-PAT.

krenzkes-

Welcome to week 27. The voyage EB627-PAT (with our MINIs) goes:

BREMERHAVEN GERMANY 30/06/2006
ANTWERP BELGIUM 05/07/2006
ZEEBRUGGE BELGIUM 06/07/20060
SOUTHAMPTON UNITED KINGDOM 07/07/2006
NEW YORK, NY U.S.A. 16/07/2006
BALTIMORE, MD U.S.A. 18/07/2006
CHARLESTON, SC U.S.A. 22/07/2006
BRUNSWICK, GA U.S.A. 24/07/2006

with the completed legs in red. The next stop is NYC tomorrow then Baltimore and then on to Charleston. There is a site, http://www.firstnynj.com/ then select <Vessel Activity>, that shows the schedule for the New York/New Jersey port authority.

The Patriot showed up on the http://aisfree.aislive.com/ site today but has since disappeared. It isn't due to berth in NYC until tomorrow. I'm not sure if you can zero in on Baltimore and Charleston or not but if you go to the http://aisfree.aislive.com/ site and click on <Home> you can click around on the world map and give it a try.

There are probably web schedules for the Baltimore and Charleston ports but I haven't looked for them. Good luck.

Krenzkes, you're welcome. Mine gets off the boat tomorrow, at NYC, to be processed at the New Jersey VPC and then transported to Sterling, Virginia. Did your MA tell you your's was going to Charleston? It seems like they could ship to MO from the New Jersey VPC but I really don't know.

I was just out at Sterling for a few weeks on business trip and got to meet a couple of the DCMM members. Nice place, I'll see if I can get with your club for an event if I'm in the area again during one of them. DCMM is a good club. Good luck on your MINI, enjoy the twisties.

Happy motoring!

Scott

The only sunroof graphic I know about that works it the check. Basically, you can see through the "white" and not the black. Not sure about that one. ???

As for a patriotic name...hmmm...none pop into my head. I know another NAM member...maybe even our production week was planning on/thinking about "Indi". Kind of a variation on a theme but it works! A bit of a double entendre on second thought!

Haha, that was me actually but I decided against it. Since mine is Hyper Blue, it seemed odd that I would name my car Indi. But if anyone else wants that name they are welcome to it.

Guys, I am getting so nervous about catching the Resolve today! My car has been down at the docks since the 12th, and it did not load onto the Courage. I actually didn't want it to load on the Courage, but I can't help but get a little nervous wondering if it will be on the Resolve or not.

The Resolve goes directly to Charleston, so that is a quick journey of 10 days, which means it should arrive by the 26th. If I don't make it on that ship though it really throws me off because it would be another week or more before another ship comes.

I have a feeling I'll be posting a lot today and checking my VIN on their tracking a bunch too!

Drew
