Or you could just do what I'm doing starting this Friday, and take a 3,300-mile road trip with the wife. Not too much internet access on our country's highways and byways.

Of course, we'll be driving her Mustang and I'll be wishing the entire time that we were in a shiny new Mini instead...

Yeah, it'd be nice if we could follow it's progress across the sea. But Monday will be here before you know it!!

crishchun and Chimera, congrats on getting loaded up today!! Chimera, I'm extremely jealous of you being in Disney World My wife and I will be heading down there the first week in September for a belated 1st anniversary trip. It'll be the first road trip in the MINI!!

Doogs, I know how you feel. Anytime I drive anywhere now, I can only think of how much more fun it'll be in the MINI

For The Lucky Ones Aboard The "trinidad"

Some of you may be aware of this already, but you can't really get TOO much information about your MINI. Right?

Here's a link to the aisfree site that shows Southampton activity. In fact, you can see the Trinidad at dock. I think you'll need a membership (should you not have one by now...AS IF). Enjoy! I'll be waiting for the "wedge" that represents Madame Butterfly to show up in just TWO DAYS!

http://aisfree.aislive.com/Influx.as...ampton%20Water

EDIT: Not sure how TRINIDAD got in there with a lowercase t - had my CAPS LOCKED. No slight intended!

YESSSS!! I have been non-stop checking the WW ship site and it finally has my VIN in the system!

My MINI is on the Trinidad ship and apparently it left today! That means it should arrive in New York, NY on the 20th of July! That is the day before my mom's birthday! After that, who knows how long the wait will be at the port and the distribution center, but hopefully he'll swiftly move along and I'll be able to see my baby the final week of July! That would a nice way to end an otherwise stressful July. :D

Turcicus, I've been using the Undine as a surrogate to track on the www.sailwx.info site since it is only a day and a few hours ahead of the Patriot. You just have to do the best you can.

Madame Butterfly approaches

Well, according to the Southampton website the Madame Butterfly will arrive tomorrow at 7:30 AM. She is registered as a "Vehicle" cargo ship and will depart at 6:00 PM (Time in Southampton is GMT -1).

So, please say a wee prayer that Jake gets on this ship. He's been there since 7/7 and is ready to come home!

It looks like the Trinidad is chugging right along--it floated off aislive.com as I can't see it anymore. Is there another way to track it? I can't seem to find it on sailwx.info.

My MINI is at the docks. :-) Still hoping to make it on the boat leaving on the 16th, arriving the 26th, and then hopefully delivered by Aug. 4th!

Mini of Murray had a few July slots open so I finalized my order hours before the rollover on 29 Jun. It's already awaiting Transport so I guess I was production week 27.
It's a PW MC so maybe it got bumped up with a batch of other PWs? My MA said it would probably be a late July production date but I confirm on ASK-MINI the production number and VIN and he said it's at the port.
How's that for fast

Pepe, PW/PW MC #1, #4, Delta Spokes, DSC, Xenons, Front and Rear Fogs, Sport Seats w/Cloth, Chrome and Anth. Interior is on the way!

This is awful...

The Madame Butterfly is at dock in Southampton. Leaves in about 5 hours. Has been there for about 5 hours. My VIN isn't showing up. I know there is plenty of time but...but...but... the tension is killing me!

OK...deep breaths. I guess this is kind of the delivery room syndrome, eh?

It doesn't get any better once it's on the boat Scooter....going crazy here, keep looking at outmotoring.com and trying not to buy parts before the car is even here.

Well at least we're in the same boat...well, no that's not true!
Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one suffering.

I can't check the WW site from where I am (doesn't seem to work with the browser on my crackberry) but something has changed today - the AM robot now says my mini is in the paint shop, w/ a completion date of June 30... WTF? (Previously said it was at the port). But stay calm- Mini doesn't always use WW for west coast cars. Its possible we shipped out a few days ago on a different carrier.

Ha, I'm probably ordering about $200 in small accessories tomorrow and mine won't be here until the first week of August. I'm just really hoping that it gets on the Resolve on the 16th. I can't wait!!!

Hey tethernaut,

The automated system probably isn't tracking your MINI anymore. Just spoke with Greg at AM. He said once it's at the port, they no longer can track. At that point, your MA will have the information from port to dealership.

I remember...WAY BACK... when I first signed up for the OL my prod # was showing a different configuration. So, I'm guess they "recycle" production #s.

I've checked the shipping routes and Madame Butterfly leaves today headed for Port Hueneme. After that the ship in will be the Medea on the 17th.

I'm SURE we'll be in the Madame Butterfly.

Why dont you try the WW tracking site and enter your VIN? The Butterfly leaves today at 12:45 PDT. Here's the link: http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/index.jsp

Hang in there!

PS Greg said given our production week, the third week in August is about right for delivery. Hmmm...wonder if that means to the dealership. Must be.

Anyone know the next ship name coming to the west coast? WW site doesn't show my VIN so I'm guessing it's with another carrier.

It's the Medea, arriving at Southampton on 7/17.

According to WW, my VIN isn't on the Madame Butterfly and it sails in about 30 minutes by my calculation.

Isn't there another shipping company MINI sometimes uses for the West Coast?

I've heard stories of waiting...waiting for WW ships only to find there were with another shipper.

Help?

My VIN doesn't show up in the WW system either. Hopefully we're on another carrier.

tethernaut & Crusoe (and any other "west" coasters)

Arrggghhh!! I was SURE we were going to be on the Madame Butterfly.

I've attached (I think) the Medea's schedule. It will arrive in four days but takes a few extra days to get here. It's going to Georgia, then the Panama Canal, then Port Hueneme and then Tacoma.

Don't know why we wouldn't have been on the MB. All new MINIs have to go to Port Hueneme and mine has been there since 7/7.

Oh well...I'm going to find out if there is another carrier that might have picked up our wee ones!

Red Scooter, NYK is another carrier, but unfortunately I don't think they have any ship tracking abilities on their website.

Ding-ding, Turcicus. Found out about them from ASK MINI and from another post. I don't know if they offer tracking or not but the consensus here is NADA.

The only source of information, at this point, is your MA. I called mine yesterday and again today with no response. Unfortunately... ...she waits about 2 days before she calls or emails. NOT my favorite attribute of a salesperson...esp. on a ~$30K purchase. I don't think BMW would approve.

AM robot says my MINI's in the paint shop too, with an estimated completion date of July 8th, 2006.

That a bit whacked! Perhaps the AM robot is going to close for a few days on August 1 as well!
