I'm still getting the "your vehicle is scheduled for production, with no confirmed production date yet..."

I wish the automated voice wouldn't be so chippy when it said that...like its gloating or something...grr

Same here Doogs...it would be even worse if it was an English bloke, which I'm surprised it's not.

Chimera and Doogs,

You'll get better info if you talk to a representative. They are really nice and "happy to check for you anytime" on the real-time status they can access. I've been told twice that the automated system/OL is not as accurate and are only updated once a week or so (unofficially).

Call ASK MINI and you can talk to real person and ask all the questions you want. They are great...just like all the MINI products and services are!

Red Scooter, you are correct. Talking to a live person at ASK-MINI is the best way to find out info., other than talking directly to your MA (and even that is dependent on how they keep up with things). Just from what I've been able to gather the past few days, here's the order of the best ways to find out what's going on, from least informing to most:

4. The Owner's Lounge - This was finally updated to "Scheduled for Production", when I've known since Friday that that was the case. I've also never been able to see my order details without using the right click-view source trick.

3. The automated voice at ASK-MINI - Up until yesterday, this said something different than what I had gotten from a live person.

(tie) 1. A live person at ASK-MINI and your MA - I've been able to get the most info from both of these, with complimentary info coming from each, hence the tie. However, the dealership I ordered from likes to stay on top of orders daily, and therefore is aware of where all of their customer orders are at any time. I called my MA Friday to get a final sale price to take to my bank, and for the heck of it he checked out where it was. He didn't have an estimated completion date, but I was able to get that by talking to someone at ASK-MINI. In other words, the amount of info you get from your MA totally rests on how on the ball they are. I got lucky in that regard, and I hope you guys have great MAs as well. It really makes a difference!

Yes but, unfortunately, there are no representatives to talk to on the weekends...

Spoke to a live person at ASK-MINI - I'm still scheduled for completion on July 3rd. Who knows where the automated line was getting June 26th from!!

Perhaps today is the beginning of your production which will complete on July 3. Makes sense based on what I've learned. Production takes about a week, per ASK MINI.

For the rest of us in Week 27 (without production dates), I understand that we will be assigned a production DAY in Week 27. From then it's about a week to 10 days to completion.

Makes sense to me! I think you are a Week 26'er but you can hang with us!

Doogs, I would think you would start production sometime this week if it's to be completed by week 27. Keep your fingers crossed!!

You know, part of me is starting to think it'll just be radio silence until mid-August, when my MA will call and ask when I want to head down and take delivery...

Tom Petty was wrong. Waiting isn't the hardest part. LACK OF INFORMATION is the hardest part!

I agree Doogs...or maybe conflicting information. I spoke with an ASK MINI rep just now thinking I HAVE to have a production date by now...I mean Week 27 start 7/3! But he could only tell I have CR S on order.

He thought that maybe the information was incomplete because I made a change in my order. But, that was 10 days ago. My MA said no prob on that and another AM rep says the change (Sport Pkg) is in the order.

I just hope I didn't mess up my production week by changing. Arrrrgghh!

Maybe the AM rep had less info because they are scheduling me NOW???

Hope so! Maybe I'll take a hiatus from checking like Doogs is suggesting!

Hey...why is PW27 so small? The other support groups seem to have a LOT more members. Hmmm...just curious.

I was thinking the same thing today...."I must have a date by now"...but nope, still no confirmed production date. Does anyone know if they build in groups, like all of a certain color at the same time (to make painting easier), or all MC seperate from MCS, or all automatics together? Red Scooter and I both have MCSa's on order, and neither have a confirmed date yet. Maybe they're out of Agitronics? *L*

edit : In fact, Red Scooter, Doogs, Turcicus and me all have MCSa's on order....coincidence??

Hmmm....VERY interesting observation. I've been wondering about the August 1 closing, too. Our production week is one of the LAST before the "brief" shutdown. I've heard it's likely to begin retro-fitting/modifying the equipment to produce the '07s.

The closing doesn't bother me as much as England's continued success in the World Cup Being English, I know how much time in the workplace gets wasted on football during a regular season, and at World Cup time it's 100 times worse. While I would love to see England go far, it better not impact my MINI *L*

Good point!

Maybe they don't like to make automatics as much as standards!

Nahhh! All MOTORERS are created equal!

Hahahaha!! I hadn't thought of that at all!

I'm surprised that I'm the only one here that actually has a production date yet. By now I would think all of us would! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you guys.

And Red Scooter, you're right, this group seems small. If we count tethernaut and The Hobbes, there are only 6 of us here. Maybe your thought about the plant closing has something to do with it. I hadn't thought about it that much, as I was under the impression that the plant wasn't going to totally shut down, but it makes perfect sense.

Could be that there's just a lower NAM percentage in the week 27 build...

So last night when we were lounging on the couch and watching "Shalom in the Home", out of nowhere I turned to my wife and pronounced "I want my Mini!"

Just felt like sharing...

I don't know about your wife, but mine is sick and tired of me talking about the MINI. We went over to her aunt and uncle's house for dinner last night, and her uncle just recently bought an MCSc with the H/K stereo (which I'm also getting). Him and I spent the first half hour we were there sitting in the car in the garage with the music blasting and me checking the car out (it was the first time I had seen his). All I could do afterwards was talk about how excited I was about getting mine. I think she's slowly learning to tune me out

Mine picked up on that one a long time ago. She's also perfected the and .

Of course, if I so much as entertain the notion of tuning her out when she's going on about shoes or her plans for decorating the dining room, its....
