Nope, no news yet. Since I called my MA yesterday, I figure I'll give him a day off before I bug him again. Argh!! I just can't wait!!

 

It's nice to hear some of you folks have the end in sight . . .My Mini grows on me with each day. To be honest I've had some issues with the Sport Seat (uncomfortable metal object in right side seat bolster) but I think I've sorted things out through seat adjustments and a comfy seat pad. On the other side of the ledger is the overall motoring experience . . .just plane fun. It's such a treat to have some jerk following too closely and just loose him on a curve or clover-leaf. I've even figured out where to put most of my stuff that was spread all over the place in my ex-mini-van! My daughter said I'd taken a big step in the RIGHT direction . . .from mini-van to Mini Cooper. I have to agree.

I look forward to hearing from you all when your behind the wheel of your shiny new Mini!!

Well, his little list that he gets hasn't been updated since this past weekend, and it's not showing that it's at the port. Doesn't make any sense to me, but who knows?

 

spoke to my MA today. My mcs will arrive at the dealership either tomorrow or Sunday.

 

YAY CHUMLEY!!!! Did you ever find out for sure what ship you were on?? Maybe the rest of us are close as well! Post pics as soon as you can. This is very exciting!!!

 

Oops, you're not picking up until next weekend, right? I guess we'll have to be patient waiting for the pics.

 

Mine was on the Nada V, but couldn't find any info on that ship. Yes, I have to wait til next weekend 7/15. Killing 2 birds with 1 stone, wedding to attend in LA, pick up car and drive back to Northern Cal on Sun, Mon.

Hopefully your mini's are at the port also. Miniusa still shows the status as 'en route'. CAN"T WAIT.. even thought about taking a couple days off to fly down during the week to pick up my MCS. sigh

I called my MA yesterday, he is still saying it is on its way to here from
San Deigo!!! The ship arrived the port on 7/2 and it takes more than 10
days to get from south cal. to north cal.????!!!!!!
What is going on???? Hope you guys have better luck!!!

 

Mine arrrived at dealership (LA) on Monday. I'll most likely pick it up on Sat. I may fly down on Thursday though

 

I thought I'd check in to see if some of you folks had taken delivery. Sounds like you are veeeeeerrrrrrrrryyyyyyy close! I'm really excited for all of you!

After driving my MC/PW for several weeks I wanted to let you know that it
just keeps getting better. This car is really growing on me. At first I had some probs adjusting the seat and getting comfortable. Part of that was just getting use to a different overall feel to the MC itself . . after all it is a MINI.
Now it seems like it was made for me (hey . . it was).

I wish I could be a fly on your windshield (perish the thought) as you take your bright new Mini out for the first time. I know you will have an ear to ear grin!

I picked up my Penelope last night, but I'm having a bit of a time getting comfy with the seat as well. Sounds like I just need to give her some time. Sure do love her though.

YAY!!! I am SOOO glad that you're finally taking delivery. It's been such a long wait. No, I didn't buy the extended maintenance as the MA said I could do it at anytime before it runs out, so I figured I'll just do it later. Make sure to post pics. YOU'RE GONNA' LOVE IT!!!

Took delivery yesterday!!! And have ton of fun with this car ^_^
Mine is manual and I only drove a manual car a few hours almost
10+ years ago, so you can imagine the experience is both fun and
nervous, especially when there is a long line of car behind you at the
traffic lights :P

YAY! So glad you're having fun. Yes, driving a manual is a bit scary when you're out of practice, but you'll get the hang of it soon enough. Congratulations!!
