YAY! It's getting closer to completion every minute. I anticipate spending the next several days obsessively trying to determine on what ship she'll be sailing. I'm SO glad to have found this board. It lets me know that I'm not the only one who's crazy for my MINI.

 

Finally, the " voice" said my car is in the paint shop, besides the completion date!!! Two more days to go!!!

 

Looks like our babies are coming through together. Are you on the east coast or west?

 

Mine's at the port, awaiting a vessel to take it across the Atlantic, through the Panama Canal. Can't wait

Does anyone check the "voice" today?
Mine is changing from " in the paint shop" to " being assembled"
and the completion date changed from June 2 to May 31!!

wow, that is so cool. The "voice" still says "paint shop-June 2nd" for me, but the live person today said she is in the body shop, so I'm hoping she'll be completed tomorrow. There is a ship headed to the west coast that sets sail from Southampton on Tues. Maybe we'll be lucky enough to catch a ride!

 

OK, now the "voice" says "released to carrier - waiting transportation to port of exit". This is getting good folks. I think our MINIs have officially been born!

Just spoke with a live person . . . gave me "birthdate" for my MC of 30 May
and said it was at Southampton port awaiting transport (suggested a week to ten days to hitch a ride)

 

Hi I am from NY and a week 21 production as well. So if its going to 1st leave in 7-10 days when do you expect to get delivery? I was told to expect my car around the 3rd week of June although it doesn't seem that way now?

 

ME TOO!! Live person said she's at the dock waiting to catch a ride. Could we be lucky enough to catch the next WW ship that leaves on Monday? Probably not, but we can dream . . .

USA, you should call a live person and see if you're at the dock too. I'll bet you are.

 

Wow, I can't believe it will be another week to 10 days before it leaves. It seems the cars from week 20 just got here. I was originally told to expect my car by the 3rd week of June but it doesn't seem that will be the case. Does anyone know how to track these cars to see when they actually leave?

 

Well, east-coasters (like you and Gomphus) seem to get yours much more quickly than those of us in the West. As for tracking, there are a bunch of different posts on here with detailed directions for tracking. A search should bring it up. I'll bet you will have yours fairly quickly.

 

I think I managed to get the production # and VIN off the souce code, can someone explain how to track whether the car is at the port or has been loaded on a ship yet and which ship it is? Also how does one reach a live person at "ask mini"? Thanks for the newbie help!

 

There is a new thread tonight called "how to track your MINI" that explains how to look to see if you're booked on a ship yet. To talk to a live person, you just have to listen to all the options and the last one is "customer care" or something like that. Ask for that one, and they'll come on the line and tell you what's happening with your baby. They're usually more up-to-date than online or the "voice". Good luck! Tracking your MINI is fun . . . but rather addictive as well!

 

Let's hope you, USA and I are heading over across the Atlantic at the same time. If either of you find out more info, let's hear it. Somebody else posted a ship named "Toronto" leaving on 6/5 on mini2 forum. I will pick up my MCS down in LA. My MA asked when I'll be down there for a wedding, 7/15, and said we should be on schedule to fly down, attend wedding and drive back. Can't wait

Well, I checked the WW site this morning and Penelope is not yet showing up at their site. Not sure what NYK ships may be heading our way . . . this is soooo difficult. I want my MINI! Waaaa!!

 

Im a week 19er so im gonna give yall youngins some advice. Dont trust WW!!! They lie!!! They say that ur car just missed another ship when it really left on the last one. Always cross reference with the OL and ask mini!

 

If you follow the directions on the thread "how to track your mini" you can look on the ships manifest to see if your vin # is on there and then you know. I found mine loaded on the Undine.
