Mini Tracking
Following the direction on the thread "Mini Tracking" here's what I found out about my MC.
After inputting my VIN# at (Auto Cargo):
http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do
It gave me:
Booking #
Vessel - Patriot
Voyage: EB622-PAT
Port of Origin: Southampton
Port of Destination: New York
I then clicked on the link "Voyage: EB622-PAT" and went to a chart showing ship's schedule etc.
This listed the Patriot as being loaded and departing (Southampton) on 2 June with an arrival date in NY of 11 June.
Hmmmmmm . . . is this obsessive or what?
Happy sailing!!

good summary! I would like to point out that sometimes the ww site will think that your mini is going to travel with them when in fact it is not. This happened to me and several others in my production week. The ww site listed that we were booked but not loaded on 3 ships in a row. We came to find out that our minis were actually halfway across the ocean on a different carrier! We spent some disappointing time thinking our minis had missed yet another boat when in fact they were on their ways! Once it leaves the port your MA will be able to tell you a specific arrival date."

USA - I called a live person and she said that Penelope left on a ship today, even though nothing shows up in the WW tracking and MINI online still stays she's waiting for a boat. You should call a live person and see what they say. Maybe we really are on a boat!!
Lucky....
Congrats to all you Week 21 folks! I'm in week 24 and can't wait...if you've picked up your MINI, take a second to stop by and answer this post about how long it took to get your MINI...

Hey Miniprof,
Mine is " in transit" too!!! I think they were actually in transit for a few days already. It just takes time to update the info.
Very likely we can have our mini the last week of June.
What do you think?

The Patriot, the yacht that allegedly has my MC/PW on board, is listed as being in NY harbor. This according to:

Anyone else aboard this ship?

Hey, I was wondering what had happened to everybody on this thread. Congrats, Gomphus! I bet you'll be driving your baby before you know. Hey, USA and Chumley - there are a bunch of west coasters over in the Week 23 group. I think we're all technically Week 22, but since there's no official thread for that, why don't we all hang out in Week 23?
Hey USA, I spoke to my MA today and he said that my car shipped out on the 3rd. If that's the case for you as well, we may be on the Lyra Leader which is scheduled to reach California on June 26. Let's keep our fingers crossed that my guess is correct!
Hey miniprof,
I really need to call my MA, but they usually are not very responsive :(
What kind of warranty will you buy? Like extended warranty, extended maintainence and tire insurance?
I am thinking buying extened warranty and extended maintainence.
What is your take?

In that extended time, what can be done?
an oil change, tune up or any kind of level check?

I have 38K on my 4 yr old BMW. During this time, my service light for oil change has come up 3 times, changed wiper blades and air filters. The service you will receive (if same rule applies to the Minis) is dependent on what comes up on the service indicator. Best bet figure out how many miles you plan on driving and what the cost for the ex maint is. I do not plan on purchasing an ex maint for my MCS... I hope our ship is safe from the hurricanes in the East. Can't wait. I'll be picking mine up in LA and driving up 101.
