The Boheme is now in the Celtic Sea.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Map of the Celtic Sea, an arm of the Atlantic.

The Celtic Sea is that area of the Atlantic Ocean which is bounded by the south coast of Ireland, the southwest coast of Wales and the north coast of Devon and Cornwall in England west of the Bristol Channel. It does not really have south and west boundaries, although it is generally considered to stop at the same longitude as the west edge of Ireland and at the same latitude as the western tip of Brittany.

The name is commonly used by workers in the oil and fishing industries to avoid nationalist connotations. The Celtic Sea is separated from the Irish Sea by St George's Channel.

OL Update!

I am now officially listed as "En Route".

I'm not sure when we'll be able to get more tracking info on the Patriot - probably as it closes in on Boston I guess, but for now all I know is that my MINI and 259 of it's closest MINI friends are on a ship in the Atlantic hanging out together, and the OL finally admits it.

I guess we'll know more around Thanksgiving huh?

I'm still predicting I'll have it the week of the 28th... I talked to my sales guy today and he said there is a push to get sales on the books before the end of the month.

Also, someone mentioned on another thread that factory iPod adapters are on backorder... my salesguy says they have plenty in stock (at least at my dealer)

Anyone know what that website is that shows the actual location of a ship?

I am on the Liberty, but I am now sentenced to week 46 status, so I must not say anymore...

re: Tosca Verification

Does anyone have confirmation beyond the WW site that their car was loaded on the Tosca? The 1-866-ASK-MINI and OL still have me at the Port awaiting transport.

I was one of the ones listed as booked and received at terminal on the Patriot. Like several others, my car then disappeared from the WW site. It doesn't list as booked somewhere else, just "no information available." Been that way for a couple of days now. :(

Same here, ASK Mini did change to in transit this morning. We are probably on one of the other shipping company's vessel.

Is there any way to track a car on K Line by VIN? It looks like some of our cars are on their Emden vessel, due in Charleston 11-28.

Tosca call sign

I believe the call sign for the Tosca is S6AN; however, I could not find the ship's position on the ship tracking system on the following website:
http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/index.html
Perhaps the ship is not sending out position information that is tracked by this website. In looking in past threads for Mini owners the Tosca appears to be invisible on this tracking system.
I would imagine that the only dates that really matter are:
Nov. 28th for arrival to Panama
Dec. 7th arrival to California.
Once those dates turn red, the ship has arrived.

The BOHEME's first stop, Halifax, Nova Scotia, usually takes 7 or 8 days. Then it's 2 days to Port Newark.

Unfortunately, Port Newark is closed for cargo delivery/release on Thanksgiving Day which may have prevented the faster trip.

The sailwx website was updated w/ boheme's position every 6 hours today. Thats the closest we've had to realtime updates in any phase of production/delivery so far!

Boheme's last position was N 50°30', W 30°06' at 18:00 hours (must be GMT)

My assumption about this tracking information is that it's totally dependent on the captain of the vessel. I guess the captain of the PATRIOT doesn't like reporting on the weather unless its interesting.

Maybe we should get someone to ask him when he comes to town. Let him know what kind of stress he is putting Mini owners through.

The 45ers have been quite for awhile... anticipation too much???

The Boheme is just off the coast of New Foundland at the moment. I'm guessing I'll have my can in ~10 days

I think it's because a bunch of us (especially some of the more vocal <cough> DrDiff <cough> ) are on the Patriot and cannot get any more info until after Thanksgiving. We're trying to do other things to help us get through the time in the interim...

Ah yes... The regular updates about the Boheme have definitely made things easier on me.

BTW... the illuminated doorsills rule. I should have done that! When you get your car please post some pics. Also, There is a person with pics in week 43 who just took delivery of a PW/B MCS with bonnet strips and chrome grille... just like mine! I was psyched to see a car that looks exactly like mine will look. I haven't actually seen a PW/B Mini in person yet.

Finally received an update on the Mini website for car en route from awaiting transport. According to Mini, once the car is turned over to the transporter, it is the property of the dealer, and updates on the website are dependent on the dealer at this point.
In regards to the ship, yes it is dependent on the ship's reporting of weather for positioning. Looking at past posts of months and years past, don't expect the Tosca and some other ships to do any reporting.
Anyways, it's not too long now, and will the cars will be here before you know it. The next round is waiting for the cars to be taken off the ship and processed. The processing ranges to a few days to about 10 days, before being shipped off to the dealer. Thanksgiving may effect some of us, but we should have cars shortly.

Yeah, I noticed that on MINIUSA.com my status became "en route" yesterday. The Boheme has been reporting in about every 6 hours!

The Patriot is Due in port at Baltamore on the 24th, and then Charleston on the 27th. Apparently they have to unload some non MINI freight for a day or so. Prior old tracking (october) shows it coming in straight at Baltamore.

The Boheme has a stop in Nova Scotia on 23rd, New York to unload some MINI's on the 25th, Brunswich GA on the 29th and finally Charleston on the 30th. It appears to be about 300+ miles east of Nova Scotia

I'm not sure if I had missed this before... or if it just came in... but the OL now has me with an estimated delivery date of 12/7... right around when I was expecting! woo freakin hoo!

also... for some reason I always expected middle of the first week of december... so I'm REALLY happy about that. not to mention that my car still hasn't sold and I'll be putting it on ebay next week
