Did better - 150 miles today.

Maybe. Good luck, though, and keep us informed. I'm heading down to the dealer to take some pictures, this weekend. I think it's supposed to be raining.

I love my MINI

I picked up my MC today. It is so much fun to drive. It is not at all sluggish as I expected from other MC CVT owner's posts. I did wack up my finger on the boot latch. There is so much to learn about the car. I know I made the right decision with MINI. BY the way it is a HB/W MC with CVT. No name yet, too tired to think. I hope you all are as happy as I am.

Y'all are killing me! Great pics!

Question: Do you find yourself smiling in your sleep now or are your legs running in place like a happy puppy?

schulzmc - love those eyes. ha! 150 miles, now that's more like it.

SashaSolitaire - Better late than never. Welcome and love that HB.

Just checked OL again and the status now is "At Distribution Center" with Estimated Delivery Date of 10/8!!! I'm guessing Monique will reach the lot on the 8th and hopefully I'll get to pick her up middle of next week.

Sorry dude! I wasn't paying attention and you never get a true color on the web unless you have a tru-color, dedicated, calibrated, super-duper monitor. I don't and I didn't pay attention to your sig. My bad.

But from what I did see it still looks great!

Let's see who got their MINI today.

I got an updated OL status of At The VDC and the EDD has been moved up to tomorrow! Unfortunately my dealer is closed tomorrow. It would probably be unreasonable to hope that Monday I could take delivery but most likely they'll need that day to do the dealer prep stuff. We'll see!

Come and Gone

Well as you see on my sigy that my edd was 10/7/05. Now that that date has come and gone not sure when I will get my car. My MA said that he is unsure on when the truck will get to the dealer. He said that he will call once it arrives and that if it arrives in the morning it will be available that afternoon. Lets keep our fingers crossed for a safe and speedy arrivial for Daisy. (it is raining cats and dogs here in VA.) I THINK I AM GOING TO GO INSANE IF IT IS NOT HERE SOON.

Have fun!

Well, my EDD was 10/8/2005. As expected, it was correct and Miles got delivered to the dealer. Because I'm getting a couple accessories loaded, like Sportlink, I'm going to have to wait a few more days. This does not mean I ddin't get to see my MINI, though! I drove down to NW MINI, and my MA was there. He handed me the keys and let me hop all over the car. The grin was already plastered, and I haven't even started the engine yet! I got some pictures, though, so that'll tide me over until I pick up Miles on the 13th.

Tammy, 1250 Miles Rain or Shine

My wife and I just finished a road trip to get F.Red's 1250 miles out of the way.

We listened to the weather man in Atlanta nice weather. Left for Savannah Wednesday Nice and sunny by the time we got to Savannah Tammy (Tropical Depression) . Spend the night just outside Savannah going to Flordia. The hotel called our room about 10:30pm to tell us the parking lot was flooding and we needed to move our car's. Another 20 minutes and F.Red would have made a nice boat. Moved to higher ground, sleep with one eye open.

Left Thursday in on and off rain heading to Kissimmee Fl.(Sister Inlaw) got to sit on I-95 in Daytona 4 miles in 1 hour (practiced sitting in traffic with a clutch):impatient

Friday went to Intown Mini in Orlando purchased a licence plate frame Union jack. I thought it would be neat to purchase small items from different dealers. Rained on and off all day.

Saturday headed back to Atlanta, we are now home with 1,387 miles on F.Red. The last hundred miles a blast when you can get the RPM's above 4,500

Oh man! You drove through all that rain?!!! With a convertible! I bet you didn't have the top down more than half the time. Too bad but the good news is the weather forecast for the next week in Atlanta is nothing but beautiful Fall weather with the highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's with nothing but sun. I guess you'll be hitting the mountains for the next several weekends. Have fun!

Update on Icarus: The EDD has been changed to yesterday. I guess I've driving him around in reality and am currently writing this in a dream. It's all good. I take it to mean that he'll be in my grubby hands very soon.

Well I am now 2 days overdue. My MA said that he is 90% sure that the car will be delivered tomorrow. He said that if it is in in the morning that he will have it done by the afternoon. So we have it set up for us to come in tomorrow already about 4pm. I am so excited. I wish that I was already cruising around though but Daisy is worth the wait.

So, how many people are thinking of finishing the break-in period with one long drive?

Not me. But my 2-hour long commute to work everyday (total) will help in getting past the break-in period pretty quickly! And its great that all those miles will be on PCH along the Pacific, and Malibu Canyon Road!

By the way, glad to know you got to see Miles and "hop all over the car"! My EDD, like I mentioned before, changed from 10/8-10/9 (TODAY!) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Both my cellphone, as well as the home phone are sitting next to me waiting eagerly to ring! :impatient
