Just found out from dealer that Seijin reached Port Hueneme at 10:47pm last night (10/3). I was also told that it usually takes 7-10 days to get the cars to the dealership (South Bay)! Hope it will be quicker than that because it definitely feels like the clock has stopped!

prob only takes a few days from VPC to dealer..... but the dealer wants to prep it when they get to it... prob just to buy them time so the new owners don't hound them....Then when they call 2 days ahead of time, the new owner is all happy with the dealer...

 

Thats what I'm hoping! Thing is she specifically mentioned that the 7-10 days doesn't include time to install accessories at the dealership. For me it will be another 3-4 days for the Aero Kit. :impatient But at least I'll be able to see my car once it gets there.

Actually I got the same update today on ASKMINI and I called up the dealer. Its obviously a mistake, because my car ARRIVED at Port Hueneme yesterday, and I'm sure your did as well. I confirmed that with the dealer. I also confirmed with a rep who said that my car left Europe on Sep 12.

I don't think the "at port awaiting a shipping vessel" is for the Hawaii leg. But in your case, maybe its true...

 

Just looked again at OL, I now have an estimated delivery date of 10/6!!! All my car should need is floor mats. Won't be long :smile: :smile: :smile:

 

My status on Askmini is also at the port awaiting a shipping vessel and Daisy was on the Mearsk teal that arrived on 10/1/05. I do have an estimated delivary date of 10/7/05 and the ol is at enroute. My ma is sayin that I should get her by this weekend or early next week. I hope that I get her this weekend as both my hubby and I have a 3 day weekend with the holiday. We want to test drive on Monday. Keeping fingers crossed for all!

Nice! I still dont have an estimated delivery date... My OL data was never updated with options either. But if you're in Seattle and have a 10/8 estimated delivery date, I should be getting mine around the same time, hopefully sooner since my dealer is only like 70-80 miles away! But I'm also getting the Aero Kit, so that install will take a few days (3-4 according to my MA).

 

Yeah, your dealer should definitely get it sooner than me by a few days. Good luck! I've got several dealer options to install, too. I hope it doesn't take too long: alarm (yeah, yeah, I know), sportlink bike rack.

 

You're having the dealer install the alarm?! Did you know you could do it yourself?? j/k...

 

Haha. No. Actually, I'm always afraid of installing electronics myself. Note, I build my personal computers all the time, so I know the process, but I always manage to cut/bleed all over the electronics.

I really don't feel like bleeding over the MINI yet.

Picked up my MINI this evening - a DS MCSC. I'll post a picture tomorrow. I spent all evening driving around (after a meeting I could not avoid).

50 miles down - 1200 to go until the fun REALLY starts!

The dealer was great. She actually arrived there this morning, and they got her prepped and ready for me for a 4pm pickup. Otherwise I would've had to wait until next Monday. That would've been unbearable...

BTW - arrival to the Chicago area took place almost one month to the day from her born date. (Actually, 28 days.)

 

OL finally says that Daisy is at the VPC today, but talked with MA and he said that she left in transit for dealer on 10/4/05. I am so excited. We are going to make a trip to Richmond on Sat to pick her up as long as she gets here by then. MA keeps saying that they will call us when she arrives. we are praying that she gets here and ready for pick up on Sat cause then we will have to wait until Monday or next sat and that would suck. YEA!!! NO MORE SHARING A CAR!!!!

I have finally been able to track Icarus down! He showed up on my dealers radar as having officially arrived at the VDC yesterday with a release date to the dealer on the 12th. They said that it will most likely be released before then. Who knows when I'll actually take delivery though...

Sounds like a lot of you are most likely out driving your MINI around as I type this. Can't wait to hear about it and see 'em.

 

So my MA called me this afternoon telling me Miles will arrive in the lot tomorrow or the day after! I can probably take posession of him around next Wednesday or so (adding on the dealer add-ons).

 

Awesome! So your estimated delivery date maybe was for Miles to reach the lot? I called my MA today and the only thing he said was that they received a shipment today which did not include my car. The next shipment is expeceted in maybe 3 days. Maybe they process the cars headed to other states first in order to make up for the trucking time?
