Where's the Seijin ???

 

Hopefully not in the Gulf of Mexico!!! I guess the Seijin prefers to be incognito.

 

I have a question: Daisy is on the Teal and is going to be delivered soon, but on my OL under the Factory Ordered Opt. there is nothing there. I just says the exterior and the type of materials for the seats. Is anyone else having this problem. I have called ASK Mini and they read me everything they have listed on their end and it is everthing that I have but it is not listed on the OL. Just wondering if there is anyone else.

 

None of my options are showing up online, either. I wouldn't sweat it.

 

If you haven't figured it out by now you'll notice that the OL is always behind in updates. The fact that it doesn't have the details of my order listed does not concern me. I wish it did list it but I'll get over it. In the meantime, if ASK MINI & my MA have it right then that'll help relieve my fears.

Let's see, the TEAL has been out of port now for 4 hours 46 minutes and 32 seconds...

I've tried every website (NYK, sailwx, Oceanweather, AIS) and cant locate by ship name, call sign, or BoL.

The miniusa.com website shows my car is at mini dealership. I waited more than a month for this car. I would like to say that the Estimate delivery date on the OL site is very acurate for me. Everything is delayed but the EDD for me was acurate 9/22 all along. It has been updated to 9/21 delivery date recently so I got it 1 day earlier than the EDD. As for the updating status being delay, I got a feeling it's being done on purpose. sorta like the 20 minute delay for stock quotes.

 

Icarus has been bumped AGAIN! Now he's on the COURAGE. That ship will not even leave South Hampton until Oct. 4. and arrive in Charleston until Oct. 16.

 

You might check because something is wrong. I just checked and mine was bumped to the COURAGE too on WW site. I called the MA and he said that according to their data, my car is actually on K-Line. I called K-Line with the Bill of Lading and in fact they show that number on the Emden which docks in SC on the 4th.

 

I left a voice mail for him to call me back.

Hey Havnap - what is your bill of lading number? Just like Gr8, I was bumped from the Teal to the Courage. AskMINI seems to know nothing about it, and my MA is out today.

Thought I could check my VIN against the BL number you have, to see if I ended up on the Emden too!

My MINI has been at the Southampton dock since the 15th - sure thought it would be on the Teal, since cars that arrived there on the 19 and 20th boarded the Teal!

 

My car got to the port on the 15th also, so something is weird here. K-Line said that the BoL is assigned to each vehicle (why not use the VIN #?) and that BoL doesn't show up as trackable on their website. The dealership gets a report of the cars, so anyone should be able to tell you if the same thing has happened to you that's happened to me. They should be able to give you your Bill of Lading and you can call K-Line at 800-609-3221 and choose the auto cargo option. http://www.kline.com/PCC-RoRo/schedu...ticshuttle.asp I'm wondering if there is such a blast of cars coming out of the factory right now since it's the change over that they had to schedule K-Line to pick up some of the cars. I'm a little worried because of the conflicting information. I guess I just don't like not knowing what is going on because I'm MINI-less and I need to figure something out if it's not on this boat.

Mystery Solved - thanks to Hav! I called the dealership, and they confirmed it left Southampton, either on the 17th or 19th of Sept, and gave me the Bill of Lading number. Then, I called K-Line, and they said there were over 150 cars on that bill of lading, but they found mine on it!

So I'm also on the Emden, scheduled into Charlston on Oct 4th

Well, all this makes me feel a little bit better. Sounds like WW was overwhelmed or something so they had to do some switching around. At least the boat doesn't stop anywhere but Charleston on the 4th!

Now if we can just keep the hurricanes out of the Atlantic for a couple of weeks.

 

I got her today from Sterling. The Sales manager said I was the first '06 delivery. my mini came in at Wed at 6am. I know they got a truckload of 05's on Monday too. Oddly though my car had no center caps with it. They did not come in before I got to the dealer, so he is going to mail them to me when they do. Not really a big deal in my eyes. When I drove off with her it was into heavy traffic, so i really did not get the whole experience until about 20 min. ago. man she is great! I got a thumbs up and a few stares though.



No freebies at all (not even a key chain) though. So that was a bit sucky.
