I am new to NAM. I am patiently waiting in California for the arrival of my 06 HB/W MC. It was completed on 9/1. From what I have researched, the K line does not go through the Panama Canal to Port Hueneme and the OOCL Faith is a container ship not a ro/ro ship and only goes to Houston. To the best of my knowledge, I am on the NYK ship Seijin which left Southampton 9/9. I am not sure when it will hit Port Hueneme, but it hits San Diego 10/2. Ask Mini reported that I was in transit yesterday and OL status changed today which is order with the reported delays in updating the systems. I am just glad to be sailing and not sunning.:smile: :smile: :smile:

 

Cool.. Looks like Ophelia finally got some fire under her and is moving. Hopefully not too bad into the coast.

 

Well. Apparently Miles is on the Seijin as well. Looks like we're in the same boat, roehrigs01.


Just got an e-mail back from my MA.

 

I have a estimate deliver date of 9/22. Wow, that's earlier than I thought. I didn't even know there was an estimate date on the OL site. thanks.

 

Hi!! This is my first post, well actually my second, I don't know where the first one went to. I am patiently awaiting my 06 HB/W MC in California. From what I have researched, my MINI is on the Seijin. The K line does not go through the Panama Canal and although the OOCL Faith is a NYK ship, it is a container ship that stops at Houston, but the Seijin is a NYK ship that goes through the Panama Canal and on to Port Hueneme. The Seijin left Southampton 9/9 and will arrive in San Diego 10/2. I am not sure when it will reach Port Hueneme. My status changed at Ask MINI on 9/13 and on OL 9/14 which makes allowances for the updating on these sites. I am glad that I am sailing and no longer sunning. The wait has been long and uncertain but now I can see the end of the tunnel. Congratulations to all the other MINIs on the Seijin.:smile: :smile: :smile:

Hey Blitz64, what boat are you on? Is the estimated delivery date the date to you? It looks like you must be on Otello that is scheduled for docking on the 17th.

 

Woo Hoo! Icarus is on the Jingu "Jin Jin" Maru which is headed out of port tonight. Estimated date of arrival in Charleston, SC is Wednesday, Sept. 28. I estimate that will have Icarus at Global Imports MINI by the first week of Oct. They will have to do their "dealer prep" stuff and I could see Icarus by no later than the second weekend of Oct.

 

Hey, Gr8Force, if you want to get really ****, watch the boat as it leaves on radar. OK, I have to admit that I watched Otello. Not that exciting, but hey, there was nothing on TV.

 

Looks like mine (still unnamed) and Icarus are shipmates. Apparently, unnamed is in a hurry to get to Texas because I don't think she even stopped to wave at anyone at the port. Done Tuesday, shipped down and got right on the boat last night and away she apparently goes today.

I guess she's trying to hurry for the 2 weeks of Fall that we'll have here in Mid-October. WOOHOO!

 

Darnit....I am pretty sure that my MCS missed the Sept. 12th ship to the west coast as there is no new info OL or on Ask-Mini. I am slowly turning into an obsessive, crazy person about the every movement of my mini.

BTW, I have named my MCS.......Phinneus, AKA Phinney.

 

Has anyone had any luck tracking the Seijin? No reports on the sailwx.info site.

 

havnap142 - And the Jin Jin Maru is underway a little early at 21:51 local UK time. I don't think it's **** watching the radar of the ship head out to sea. I think it's pretty dang cool that there's this fancy-schmancy technology for us to use to do this stuff! What a great journey this has been. Can't wait to see what this chapter has in store.

 

I never could see Icarus on the webcam. Oh well.

 

According to the WW website, Otello has set sail from Halifax. Go fast, little ship. I'm holding Ophelia, down here so you can get to NYC. No more hurricanes in site.

OK - I'm really frustrated. ASK MINI says my vehicle is in transit. The WW web tracking site says it has no information about my vehicle.

Oh, where, oh where has my MINI gone?

It took five days between ASK MINI rep saying Icarus had been completed and was waiting for transport to WW confirming receipt and booking on board.

 

ASK MINI says my MINI left port on September 12, but they have no information on which ship she is on. WW still shows no info on my VIN. Also, WW did not have a ship leave port the 12th.

So - another poster says he was told his MINI was put on a K-line ship headed for Charleston, SC. A search of K-line's site shows the Pamplona scheduled to leave Southampton on the 12th and arrive in Charleston on the 27th. Maybe that's the ship!

I called my MA when it looked like I missed the Jingu Maru. She said F.Red shipped the 12th and should be in Charleston Sept. 26. Should I be upset for waiting to see F.Red loaded on the Jing Maru or be happy it's arriving two day's earlier.

My research shows NKY Lines had the OOCL Faith leave the 12th but it went to Hamburg. When I searched Hamburg to Charleston the ship showed up. From Charleston it goes to Houston then the trains takes the west coast MINI's

Looked like Red Ryder, you a me where going to be ship mates. Now it's three seperate ships Otello, OOCL Faith, and Jingu Maru. Our MINI's are scrambling to get to their new homes.

 

Actually, I'm no longer so sure about the BNSF route for the west coast MINIs. My MA e-mailed me, and told me I'm on the Seijin, which is a NYK vessel but I can't find any data on it. Me and roehrig01 are both on the same boat. From what I can figure, though, Seijin will more likely go through the Panama Canal and stop off at the VPC directly.

My MA told me that the Seijin left port on the 9th of September.
