I had a bit of time....misc Otello info

Well it looks like there 138 MINI's in the Otello. (search by Booking Number)
The last ones loaded are the first ones off....
It looks like I am 116 (getting off in NY)

I would have thought there would have been a lot more on board.... I wonder if there will be more on the next ship?

I am not too concerned about Otello and hurricanes. These ships know what to do, worse case I see a day or two delay. One or two days suck, but hell I've already been waiting 3 months.

Gr8Force,
Mine is on Otello landing in Charleston. Now why they dont drop the car off in NY or MD instead of Charleston.. that is the question of the year. Must be that certain dealers have certain drop off points.

Sitting by the dock...

Ny MINI better enjoy resting by the dock, waiting for the JM - because once I get her she is going to get A LOT of exercise!

Go Otello - Protect the boys

Gr8Force - Happy to hear about Space Cowboy. My guy is called Brady. I named him after the Pats QB. I was born and raised in New England and have been a fan of all the NE sports teams. Right now he is doing the Otello across the atlantic. I did a few pacakges and the fogs but kept the wheels and even the seats cloth. I stayed away from the sports package becuase I find the ride too harsh. Here is hoping we are motoring soon.

My MINI has a name!

NEWSFLASH!! I have named my MINI....drumroll please....MONIQUE! At least for now.... Still have a month to think about it, but we like this one. Named after one of our friends who was born on the same date as my MINI.

First Mod for F.Red

The Shift **** should be here Tuesday. I should be able to shift and drive 10,000 miles in my mind waiting for F.Red.

So, how many of you already have accessories to add to your partner in crime?

I already bought the knee pad and the auto-up circuit.

count me in. I haven't decided on a name as of yet. probably won't until we're face to face. but my PS/B MCS is aboard the Otello on route to NY. hopefully, not too long of a stay at the VPC before being shipped down to Otto's in West Chester, PA. once there, it will be getting the jcw filter and suspension, aero grill and a few other goodies. my fingers are crossed that I'll be able to take delivery by my 50th B-Day at the end of the month.

Paragon - I'm of your mind set. I can't for the life of me figure out why they'd have yours coming off the boat in SC instead of NY or MD. I'd think it would be faster to get it from the other places. Ask your MA about that. I'd be interested to know what they say.

Lot's of MINI's on the Otello. Here's to fair weather for her and all those on board!

MightyMouse51 - I love that shift ****!

Mightymouse, Just in case you ever happen to let someone drive F.Red, just make sure they don't think 6th is Reverse

No accesories yet. Getting rubber mats and probably go for the invisishield ($$ ouch)
Eventually will get an Ipod and Denison Icelink.
Not sure on the circuit.

The extralarge cupholder by the glovebox will be the first thing removed from the car.

Huh? I thought that cup holder was an accessory and didn't come stock.

All the cars at my dealer have it installed. Dealer might throw it in but I'm gonna see if they can not install it.

Need to check on getting the mats thrown in. Would like to get the boot mat and extender too... hmm.

I got my auto-up circuit in the mail this week - sitting on my desk waiting. If you want one go ahead an order it, Ian has his last batch of circuits on hand.

I am also hoping to take delivery the last of this month, I am getting the invisishield (black shows the chips A LOT) and hope that install is quick. My family is coming up for the opening of my art show (Opens the 22 in annapolis, md) and I would love if it at least I could take my dad to the dealer to see my car (before I put the graphics on)

I would think getting off the boat at SC would be quicker getting through the VPC. I would assume there are less cars there than NY. I'd be interested in what your MA says as well.

GbT, parcel shelf, and aux post coming. (shelf and AUX will be installed as soon as Minerva gets home)

Quite scary. I've checked the WW site so many times, I've memorized my VIN.

I've been meaning to get the parcel shelf, is there a specific dealer you ordered it from? I suppose I could get it from NW MINI too.

The Whalen shift **** will be after I get used to the gears. I'm a first time standard driver!

parcel shelf

I have not bought it yet, but I will either it from Classic Mini (http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...?siteid=214168) using the 20% NAM discount - Or from my dealer with my local club Discount.
here are the part numbers (thanks to another thread)

Parcel Shelf P/N 51 16 1 186 417

Rubber Insert P/N 51 16 7 057 375
Blind Plate P/N 51 45 7 072 009
Screw P/N 07 13 6 822 957 (X2)
Plastic Nut P/N 07 13 1 472 727 (X2)

I think someone said you can everything for $70 shipped. There is a debate as to whether you need the rubber insert (around $20) or if you use non-slip mat instead.

I'll be putting the order in this week actually.

Hi everybody--- just found out, according to ask-mini that I have also been bumped up to prod week 36!!

this was a very big surprise to me, as i was told by the dealership i wasn't to expect being in production until november! i checked the owners lounge last friday and was very surprised to see my mini listed as scheduled for production -- so i called to see what was going on and they said it began production on sept 8! and should be scheduled to be completed by sept 18! amazing... ;-)

Hey, fellow Otello boaters, has anyone been able to track the ship? Was curious how they were doing relative to hurricane Maria. Last I tried was Otello was off the coast of Africa in 2000.
