Checked in with my MA yesterday afternoon. Haven't been able to post until now with all the hurricane preps going on here at work. The company I work for is spread from Houston to NJ and all along the Gulf & East coasts over 12 states so I've been busy taking care of all the folk in TX & LA.

Anyway...

MA said the info they have is that Icarus is still due in Charleston on Oct.4. I asked about a BOL but they had no idea of what that was. I told them you guys have been able to get one from your MA's and track your MINI's that way. My MA just said ok but that he still didn't have that info and never heard of that kind of info before. "Yeah, right, ummm... I'm going to need you to work this Saturday and I might need you to come in on Sunday too."

If it wasn't for havnap142 & RedDaisy saying their MINI's had been bumped to the Courage but only to find out they're actually on another ship that is on schedule as promised then I would probably be freaking. Thanks for the support guys. I think this is exactly what this kind of thread is for! Support group!

In the meantime I'm going to go by what you guys find out for that ship.

 

As of yesterday, mine is showing up as at the VDC on OL. Scheduled delivery is for Friday. Would be nice if it were ready Thursday as they are open late so I can pick up after work. Saturday is good too.. As long as I get it soon.. I'm going nutz over here! :impatient

I call 1-866 ask mini and they told me my F.Red is on the DYVI Pamplona. They could not give B/L put did now the ship F.Red was on.

Well.. this morning OL has Est Delivery on 9/27 instead of 9/30! It still states @ VDC but I'm thinking it is already heading to the dealer

Now if the dealer would actually return my freakin call from last Thursday and Friday.. I'd be all set. If I don't hear anything Monday, they are going to be seeing me afternoon and I will not be very happy. How long does it take to return a call? yeah.

Come to think of it, I have not received anything from Mini. Has anybody received anything in the mail? As long as the car arriving is the one I ordered, I will be all set. There is nothing in the factory installed section on OL.

I kind of like the shark fin antenna. I wonder if it'll be on the cabrio's. If so then where are they going put it? It doesn't seem like there's enough room length wise to put that anywhere. I hope it does a good reception job and not just look good.

I have a feeling MINI is not going to send us anything until we take legal ownership of the car.

It's time to make room in the garage. Gotta get the shelving stuff put up. Get rid of my old recliner. -snif-

 

It's the base of the antenna in the photos, not a shark fin. The antenna is not mounted during transport.

 

I got the same ant. as the previous model ones. Nothing new in that department... Going to be replaced with a stubby one soon.

 

The Pamplona is supposed to dock today... and my MINI should be getting her land legs back!

Picked up my Mini on friday. It came with the free cup holder which I didn't ordered. I might remove the it later because I don't think the cup holder looks nice. It was worth the wait!!

 

Congrats blitz64! Are you gonna show us some pics like teej did? Well, that is when you're not out driving all over creation trying to hurry up and get through the break in period!

7 days until Seijin Hits LA

 

Sounds like the my mini should be arriving tomorrow (hoping early morning) and possibly get the invisishield installed (full front, lights, roof strip) by end of tomorrow.
Sadly I won't be able to pick it up until later in the week.
Glad I stopped in cause there was a Red S with bonnet stripes that had some nasty scratches all over from a bad clean job. I mentioned it to the MA and she said she would make sure that didn't happen to mine.

Anyhoo.. the wait is almost over!

Hmm.. better start burning some CDs to use. CD player in a car? What a nice option to finally have!
I will still love my Sable, though. That car has treated me well (aside from a few wires) and I will keep it as a spare. They don't build them like that anymore.

 

Just got an email from my MA. He advised that my MINI finally found his way home. I works out perfect, because the local MINI club is having a clinic at Flow MINI tomorrow. Glad I don't have to be there without a car. Pictures to follow.
