Production Week 36 (09-05-05) Support Group - First 06's!!!
Hopefully everyone is united with their MINI. If so, the long wait is over and there is no longer a need for the 36th week support group. Although I still look every day to see the pictures and hear the tales. I do not have a camera. My HB/W MC only has 254 miles on it, it rained a few days so I left it in the garage to keep it clean. I have washed it once and filled it with gas for the first time today. You have to love the MINI, there is no other car like it. I am one happy MINI owner. Have fun and be safe.

Hey Gr8Force
I know you have been burning up the roads lately. Are you coming to Highlands this coming weekend? Any other Atlanta MINI's coming? We plan to be there Thurs. afternoon to Monday AM. Beer will be cold.
I spoke to my MA yesterday and the word is that Phinneus should be in the Puget Sound area today with an estimated pick up day of next Sunday or Monday. He also said that there were no damages, just a large influx of cars at one time and the VDC got backed up.
R.R. - I'm still good for this weekend. I'll PM you with details.
Super Fly Sarah - You are about ready to do the Super Fly! I'm glad Phinneus has made actual progress. Your patience should be an example to everyone and anyone who is having a "delayed" delivery. I can't wait to hear your reaction & pics when you get it.
All -Just got back from another weekend of motoring. This time it was an overnight camping trip (there's not enough room for a full gear rollout) at Tim's Ford Lake in Tennessee to take advantage of the annual Jack Daniels BBQ contest at Lynchburg. Too bad it's a dry county! I found that quite a contradiction but oh well. Very cool time. I'll post pics tonight.
Break in period acheived. Sitting now at +1600 miles and HOLY COW! I thought Icarus was fun before but OMG! When he hits +5k it's like hitting the fast forward button! I love the sound of the supercharger. Grin? Hell, it's flat out laughter at that point!

Thanks for all the support. I have an appointment for next Wed., at 1230, to pick it up Phinneus!! I could pick him up this weekend but I have to work everyday, all day, until Wednesday. Oh the plight of the working man, uh woman.
I got a keychain, floor mats, and a cup holder
. This was my second MINI - with the first one, I only got a key chain.
I'm wondering - is the cup holder now a standard item, or just something my dealer puts in them? I know the one I test drove had it too.

I got nothing, zip, bupkiss, nada. I actually only got a tank of gas, no keychain or anything. This kinda pissed me off, but my MA is doing something he really does not have to do. I took delivery and did not notice the wheels on the car are not what I ordered. I notice this while looking at my delivery pics when I got home. My MA ordered a new car with my wheels. So I will get those new wheels when the car comes in. Hopefully, end of Nov.

Boudicea's home!
I've posted the story of our ride home from the dealer here:

I got a large cupholder too, and all the other MINIs on the lot had them as well. I'm guessing they do come standard now. Didn't get a keychain, but got mats and the aux connection! I actually had asked my MA to throw in the aux plug part and I was going to install it myself. But turns out there was some miscommunication and they actually ended up installing it for free!
I would have probably put the plug under the toggle bank, but I usually don't complain about free stuff

Yep, went to Highlands, NC and hooked up with Red Ryder this weekend. Great guy (and his wife)! He showed me the twisties where the tourists never go. Holy cow is that place awesome for exploring the handling of these cars! One section was nothing but about 1.5 miles of switchbacks. Gotta get rid of these runflats though and get a heavy duty rear sway bar now.
I've started driving my 91 Accord (270K miles) to work again since Icarus is now at 2300 miles.
Boy that Accord is pathetic!
I seriously doubt SFS (superflysarah) will post for at least a day after she gets Phinneus. She's going to be tearing it up on the roads!
She'll be so exhausted after all that driving she'll sleep like a baby.
