Long story short, I’ve wanted a Mini for some time, have always loved the R53 but was never able to swing one when I was younger, mostly because it would’ve needed to be a secondary vehicle, but fortunately now I’m able to jump into the platform.
I have a ’23 JCW on order that has just been completed and dispatched from the factory in Oxford to head to port and make its way to the States. I went three door, manual, sunroof delete in rebel green with malt brown guts and I’m pumped to get into it. I’m currently daily-driving my much loved, low mile but 21 year old 1st get Tacoma, so it’ll be a big change. It’s bittersweet getting into the platform as ICE and manual Minis are winding down but I’m still very excited. Besides, there’s always used if I want to add more right?
Only mod I’d like to do immediately is a new wheelset. Other than that I just want to settle into it. Looking forward to cruising around the threads here to see what I find.

Thank you, I'm excited for it. I decided that since this may be my only chance to spec a Mini from factory with the options I'd like, I might as well go for what I really want. I'll certainly get some photos up when it arrives. Still at the port for now, hopefully sometime in the next two months or so, give or take, it'll be in the driveway.

I have a little time before delivery so I'm trying to figure out a wheelset to order that might be a good direct swap. Mine is optioned with the standard 17" Track Spoke, but...I don't like black wheels. The Team Dynamics Pro Race look nice. (sadly appear backordered) I'd like to go BBS but haven't seen / am still educating myself on what might clear our brakes in a 17". Like it said in the header, its a whole new platform to me so I have some reading to do.
I guess there's always 18" and new rubber...

**Also curious about adding robust rear sway bar.

Team Dynamics will take a while to get in if not on BO as they are on a slim crew and OEM contracts with VW,Jag, and Rover has backed them up.

I dont have 2023 on the site yet, but most stuff will fit the 2021+ unless is the front and rear bumper and select trim, interior bits they changed.

Thank you, that thread looks like a great resource. I appreciate the info on TD, I wasn't aware they were operating nuder those circumstances, now the backordering makes perfect sense. I'm also looking at some BBS options, but had wanted to stick to 17 for now, we'll see though!
