I purchased what was supposed to be a full engine gasket set for my 2005 Mini Cooper S. It arrived today and the sealed package is missing many pieces.
Missing are the following:
1. Oil Pan Gasket
2. Timing Chain Cover Gasket, seal and O-rings
3. 4 Spark Plug wire tube seals ( these go on the valve cover)
4. Water pump gasket
Shouldn't the above items come with a Full Engine Gasket Set or Do I have to buy these items separately ?
If I have to purchase the above items separately does anyone have the part numbers for Items 1, 2, 3 and 4.
I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, which brand should I purchase.
BTW: Can the rubber seals be reused if they are still flexible?? Or not recommended

 

Depends on how old the seal are. You can reuse.

 

I would get them so you have them , when you pull them off if they match (you are good) or are very crushed I would just place so you dont get a oil/air leak. All the brands we have are fine some are closer to OEM MINI in design.

Some sets are more simple and some are deluxe, just depends on the model MINI and what brand.
