MINI newbie with a big HELLO to fellow NAM members
Hi Everyone,
After what seemed like an infinite wait, took delivery of my 2009 MC two weeks ago. Chil Red with black bonnet stripes and black sunroof. Got the cold weather and premium packages, plus the Invisishield to protect the paint on the nose and bonnet. Very happy with the MINI. Big step up from my Ford Focus to be sure! Looking forward to meeting NAM members and attending MINI events come spring. Best wishes for the coming holidays.

New guy here so thought I'd say hello to all
. My fiancee just picked up a Clubman a few weeks ago so thought I'd find the proper forum to keep up to date with everything Mini related and look for deals and tips on upgrades. I'm a long time VW enthusiast (it's a disease) and I've been a member of vwvortex for quite some time (huge VW/Audi site which also has great forums for all things car related called "the car lounge", that's how I found this place... if anyone is looking to kill some time that's an easy place to do it
) I must admit I was disappointed when my fiancee decided to go w/ the Mini instead of a Rabbit or GTI but I must admit it's a neat little car and drives real well, I love all the quirkiness (in a good way) and character it has, it fits my fiancee very well and she is in love with it. With that being said, I'm the one who will be taking care of it so this site will come in very handy, I look forward to interacting with many of you in the future

Nice! Wakefield, MA huh? Who'd you order from? Peabody or Boston?
Hi everybody, I just got my estimated completion date (Nov 27th) for my Clubman in SS, which is gratifyingly quick considering I just placed the order last week. I'm a second-time owner (former BRG MCS 2004). Happy to re-join NAM.
I track my MINI every day. For about the past 2 weeks, it has been en route. Today, when I checked, it said my MINI was at the Distribution Center. I am so excited! Its almost here!
'05 MCS in New England
Good Evening,
Just saying Hi to everybody. I bought my Liquid yellow 05 Mini about 2 months ago and do love it. This seems to be a great place for tons of great info and conversations. I am planning on hitting Loudon for some track days this summer. If anybody around the Green Mountain state is into flogging their Mini, just let me know. Thanks MiniVT

300,000 mile - 2002 MC
Hi, everyone.
I'm new to NAM - and lost.
I have no idea where to put this info which I posted 11/3/08 to MINIUSA.com
So, - I'll just repeat it here for now, and see what happens.
************** ***************
Hey - 300,000 miles Does Feel Good!
I never set out to reach any particular high mileage; -
but I really enjoy 'motoring' in this car - and the miles 'just keep adding up'.
Now, telling people about my car is almost as much fun as driving it.
(I've just added a few new pictures to my Profile Photo Album if you wonder what's left after all those miles)
You can't see on the pictures, but this car still has the original muffler, shocks, struts, suspension, engine, transmission, windshield (with a little chip). spark plugs, etc.. (Original Spark Plugs ??? - Yeah, when I asked about plugs at 277,000 miles, my dealer couldn't find any record that they'd ever been replaced!)
First Repair was rear brake pads and rotors at 186,000 miles, front brakes at 221,000, plus the alternator, steering pump, boot hinges, LED brake light strip, and clutch all somewhere between 200,000 and 300,000 miles. Amazing Car!! Still as tight and solid and precise as a recent 19.000 mile 'loaner'.
The marker light in the left front fender is out now - but there is No Other Symptom
I could even ask about before I drive to spend Thanksgiving in Gainesville Florida.
Gas mileage stays between 34 and 37 mpg year 'round on 93 octane premium -
and the oil only drops about 1/8" on the stick between my 18,000 - 19,000 mile changes.
Trade for a Newer MINI? - - Why??
I'm not tired of her.
I'm not afraid of her.
I'm not ashamed of her.
