Hi Folks
I'm new to NAM. Bought my 2005 MCS in March of 2007, and I am still amazed at the fun I am having. I owned a 1965 right-hand-drive Lotus Elan, and the MCS is the nearest thing in handling that I have driven since.
I have begun to learn from all of you and, hopefully, will be able to contribute to the dialogue.
I am waiting for a new set of Goodyear Eagle F-1's from Tire Rack, and can't wait to get rid of the Dunlop DSST's.

Hello all. My wife and I are new MINI owners - to - B. Ours is supposedly at the port being prepped for delivery to the midwest. We ordered on Aug. 5 2008 and have been "patiently" waiting. We are having the JCW aero kit put on ours and apparantly this takes awhile (something about having enough MINI's there needing the add-on). Anyway, we are very excited and can't hardly wait for the little guy to arrive. We're told it will be at the dealer on 10-26-08. We are having the 3-M plastic cover put on him too (a lot of rocks on the road in the spring) to protect his nose. We're still thinking about names and license plate messages so I'll post back when we think of it. It's kind of difficult to name someone before you see him/her. I am pleased to know that we are not the only ones who are a little crazy about cars. We weren't sure about buying a MINI until we drove one. I asked the salesman if everyone came back from their test drive with a smile on their face. You all know the answer to that.

After the test drive I couldn't wipe the permanent smile off my face, I think MINI should be arrested for selling something so addictive.
Hi fellow car nuts,
I just had the new Goodyear Eagle F-1's (stock 205 45 R17) installed and the car aligned. Along the way I had to do the brakes and rotors so it was an expensive proposition. I've only driven about five miles, but the difference is noticeable. Musch quieter, no wheel shake, and much better ride.
I'll follow up after we get a few thousand miles on the tires.

Yeah, there aren't too many of them around Nebraska. There's a lot of "buy US products only" around here. Those will be the one's we're motoring around on the highway's while they are sucking down the petrol with their big pickups and full size SUV's. It will be worth the wait I'm sure, but I am still out of patience.

New Mini Owner
Hi All, Roger here (known as "Trekman72"), will explain
later.
We took delivery of our new MINI on Oct. 20th, (first one),
which the order was placed with the dealer on 8-30 and
placed with the factory 9-2-08. It sure was fun watching
the progress on the Miniowners lounge. It arrived here
in U.S. at Port of Charleston 10-8, finally made it through
customs and arrived at the dealer 10-15 but we were out
of town so couldn't take delivery until 10-20. It was
shipped via K-Line on the Sierra Nevada Highway.
Have really enjoyed driving it this past week and are
really happy with it.
It is Sparkling Silver/Blacktop & sunroof. 16" Bridge
Spoke wheels, fog lights and black Bonnet stripes, a
real beauty.
Now as to Trekman72, for health purposes, I do a lot
of bicycle riding, 3000 to 5000 mile per year and also
participate in a lot of metric century and century rides and
I ride Trek bikes, consequently the name.
