Hey every buddy! I'm "new" to this website (i have visited here whenever i needed to know something about my mini but i just started an account) and wanted to introduce myself. My names anthony and i live in north carolina. i bought my mini cooper s a year and 3 months ago a love it more than anything else (execpt maybe my girlfriend...maybe). Anyway its a pleasure to be on here and i look forward to getting lots of info and tips.

I'm a perspective 2009 Mini Cooper S buyer (probably ordering this spring). I've looked around at all of the sport compacts (GTI, Si, MS3), and the Mini was by far the most fun (but I'm sure you already knew that). Free maintenance, lowest insurance, and the best mpg were just icing on the cake!

 

Hello everyone. I've been lurking a while and decided to introduce myself. I have a 2004 JCW that I purchased a few months ago from someone in Calgary. The car is a US spec imported in Canada. I'm located in Edmonton and I'm not looking forward to winter here.

 

And that's why I moved west to the Wet coast. Winter licks.

 

Yep I'm doing the MINI dance. It's kinda like the PP dance ya know...waiting for the day. She, Trudy that is, is built and waiting for a ship and should be on her way on the 19th. This is my 4th new vehicle purchase but none of them tripped my trigger even close to this one. I am upgrading from a sportbike with two wheels, no doors, and tons of giddiup to four wheels, two door and a lot of yee haa from what I gather. I cant wait for the day! This site is amazing. My MA sent me here when I was looking at what bells and whistles I wanted and it was by far the best thing he has done for me since at press time he hasnt delivered my baby to me. For all those who are himing and hawing about what to order find the "what I wish I wouldve added..." thread. So helpful and from what I can tell, the folks on here are a blast. Look forward to keeping tabs on the site.

 

So I am new but have owned an 05 MC for about a year now. It's gold and an automatic with not much pep at all, so I am not that excited about it. I just recently ordered a 09 red cooper s 6 speed and am awaiting delivery (very excited). She will be a much better car to motor in the mountains of Colorado with. I can't wait to get her in the twisties!!

I was going to upload a pic of the current Mini but alas I have none. It shows my enthusiasm I guess.

 

Sort of new. I am in the midst of selling my truck so I can get my own MINI. I have found a used one that I want in the color and everything, but have not sold my truck yet. Hopefully it wil happen soon!

My new Clubman got here the beginning of August. My husband and I were out of town. It was torture. I don't have pics to upload yet, but I love the car. After years of driving "mom" vehicles, it's time to have fun again!

 

I can't wait to get my MINI Cooper S! I've had Mom cars for over 15 years now. It's time for us Veteran Mom's to have some fun now!

 

I'm with you both... I finally managed to 'upgrade' from a minivan to a Subaru Outback when my kids were out of car seats. I do like the Subaru, but I haven't had a small car with a stick shift since I was single and I absolutely can't wait! But, because I am still a mom with kids around, I did go for the Clubman instead of the Cabrio...

Just joined, and LOVE all the Fanfrickintastic info!

New to the Mini world, I came from the BMW side, so should be interesting.

 

I am the owner of a 2003 MCS had it for about 6 weeks now and looked to find a site for exchanging tips when working on my car. This is the first MIni I have owned but I am liking it. I am looking to put tires on this one soon. I mostly do around town driving work and back and was looking at 215/45/17 are any of you running these? I bought the car with 205/40/17 and the ride is a little harsher than I would like but the car drives like it is on rails.
I also ride a BMW K1200RS motorcycle and pull the maintenance on that. Hope we can help each other out!
