So.....You got your car 7/19? How long did it take from order to delivery?

I ordered 7/5. Mini was completed 7/18. it is STILL in England.

Hello all.

I am new to this MINI craze, but it's hit me like a ton of bricks!

I've been looking for a new car, and a MINI was one that I was interested in. However, I did not want to call it an "official consideration" until I was able to drive it.

And, boy did THAT do the trick! Before I left the dealership I ordered one!!

So, here soon (soon being figurative, haha) I will be the proud owner of a 2008 MINI Cooper Clubman S.

I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!!

*edited to see if my signature worked... WooHoo! It worked!

Yep MINI kind of caught me by surprise too..
I wasn't looking to buy one, I was shopping for relative that was looking for something small and I'm the one that ended up buying the car.
I thought I would never buy anything other than Jeep Wranglers the rest of my life but MINI converted me.

Welcome to NAM

Ordered on May 3; Started Production on June 4; Completed on June 9; Arrived at the NY VDC on June 19; Sat at the VDC for 25 days because Mini wouldn't release it until the Official JCW release date of July 14; Finally took delivery on July 19. It was an unusually LONG and painful wait because of the release date thing. From what I've heard it takes 1-7 days to catch a boat ... Hopefully yours will be sailing soon!

Thanx to all for your gracious welcome

Just found out I'm already in production with an "estimated" completion date of 7/29.

I swear I have ants in my pants!

New to NAM

Hello NAM

I recently just joined because I want to find fellow drivers that are passionate about their Mini's. Sadly I do not own one yet. I recently just graduated from college and married (2 weeks ago) so my funds are not that great to purchase one yet, but it is in the works to do so. I cannot wait to be able to reply more in the forums from a first hand experience when I start driving. Look forward to being a part of the group and my local group that I found using this site. Till the next post.

Hey All!

I've had my MINI for about 6 months now, and I am loving every minute of it! Just attended MTTS 2008 - Chicago this past weekend. Met lots of cool folks who share the same passion as all of us on here. Hope to talk/meet some new people, get some new ideas for my MINI and most of all learn something new.

Getting Ready to Pull the Trigger

I have had my eye on a Mini Cooper for over a year now. Didn't even consider a Clubman until I drove one at Mini of Pittsburgh. With a 4 year old daughter, it is nearly the perfect car.

I haven't ordered yet, but am looking to in the next few months. The hard part is deciding what I really want on the car.

I am curious about dealer experiences. I live in Harrisburg and can go to Otto's or Towson since they are closer, but have family in Pittsburgh so I could visit and have the Mini serviced.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Scott

Hello everyone. I just got my Mini a couple of weeks ago and I love it. I've been reading many of the threads and they have been very informative. Thanks for all the info. I am somewhat used to forums as I have been on Corvetteforum.com for several years. Obviously my other car is a Corvette. I look forward to spending some time on this forum.

hello

Hello to all!!

We ordered our mini a few weeks ago and it is already on the boat enroute to distribution center.

We have an 08 MCS hardtop on the way. It is lightning blue with white bonnet stripes, Union Jack on top and on the mirrors, has Cold weather group, sports group, and DSC.

We cannot wait to get it. Hopefully soon.

By the way, anyone know where to get Mini Racing shirts. I would like to buy one as a gift for my wife, as the car is hers.

thanks

Jack

By "racing t shirts" you mean...? Outmotoring, MINIMates, and MINI MANIA are all pretty good, as well as MINI USA, of course. None are exactly "cheap" but...Hey, they say MINI, so it's all out, right!? Welcome to NAM! Don't forget to wave to other MINI drivers...

I'm not 100% sure which type of shirt you're looking for but MINI does have a website for official shirts called Motoringgear.com .
But if your talking about the one pictured below then you better checkout Ebay they average about $29 and come from the far east.
