Picking up my first Mini tomorrow...

My wife and I decided it was time for a fun car and I can't think of anything as fun as a Mini. We're picking up our '07 Cooper S convertible tomorrow. This particular car has 47K miles on the clock so we're hoping for years of fun.

Happy to share pictures once it's in my driveway.
Thanks for any/all advice I've already found here.

Ah nice an R52 MINI convertible . I have one also. Congrats and post up some pics. 2007 and 2008 years were the last 2 for the R52 Gen 1 MINI model.

Nice, was it keep in the MINI showroom . Thats a nice color ( BRG ) for the R52 Convertible. Very low miles. Looks like cloth sport seats and you have the black top option. Y spoke wheels in 16" and chrome line exterior package.

Did it have heated seats and a wind deflector ?

I have the black one in my R52 and i really like it :

Both come with travel storage bags.

Welcome to NAM and congratulations! BRG is a beautiful color. Goes well with the chrome mirror caps.

Car was outside but hadn't been on the lot long. Leatherette seats in two toned gray. 47,000 miles. Heated seats but no wind deflector.

Great, I have the two tone leatherette and holding up well with 260K miles. I don't have the sport seats in the front. Heated seats are must, glad you have them. I would get the wind deflector, great for cool night and with the top down and side windows up with it , you can talk and hear people very easily.

Thanks for the advice. Haven't actually driven it with the top down yet thanks to Chicago's lingering winter.

Of course, I'm not sure how my kids will feel about sitting under a wind deflector...

Welcome.

Yea, that the one downfall if you have kids, it will have to be folded up , but the cool thing is mine gets folded up easy ( snaps into place) , then stored in the bag in the Boot ( trunk ) very easy. Does not take up much space, then it can g right back in in about 15 secs.

Nice, yes look like that chrome line full exterior package. otherwise you would have the painted grille and painted trunk mounts. Also looks like the chrome line interior package , as you have the chrome roll bars like my R52 MINI . Popped my chrome mirror caps off and changed them to painted pepper white.

I like the stripes and white mirrors on the red. We're happy with the chrome so far but who knows what this summer will bring...
