Thanks PW! Such helpful info and yes we did turn up on a ship connected to that site.
Aloisius we are also on the Figaro! We live in the LA area, so I guess we will get our car maybe a day or two before you. How are you tracking the ship? I managed to find that it was headed for Panama, but not actually where it is.

I use Marinetraffic. Here is the Figaro http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/shi...00&header=true details. As soon as it gets near the Caribbean, the long/lat will change and you can track it on a map. I added it to "My Fleet" which lets me get notifications when it arrives near a port.

Picked up my JCW
So, after about 7 weeks waiting, I picked up my new '13 JCW Hardtop yesterday afternoon. Couldn't be happier to be back in a MINI (had an '09 JCW). Love the car. Some pics for your viewing pleasure.

How did you get black grill surrounds?
Seats feel great. I was lucky enough that my dealer had a car on the lot with the Recaros that I was able to test out before placing my order. They seem to fit me perfect and they also don't have the annoying headrest that sticks forward too far like the other seats.
I ordered the parts while waiting for my car to come in. I don't know why they went to the chrome for JCW cars, the black seems much more distinctive to me. Once I got home, 10 minutes later I had the black surrounds, JCW mats and sport antenna installed.

Your car looks great. Looks by your timeline that it got to the dock a day after it was finished. I'm guessing mine will be complete on 10/20. Ship leaves on 10/24...wondering what are the odds of it making that ship?

If it's not born yet, it will be on Monday. I didn't get an accurate timeline on transportation to the dock, and I had to find out 3 days after the fact from my MA that my car had made it onto a ship.

It went into production on 10/11. Looks like all production times have been running 9 days...which would put me "born" on the 20th. I'm on the west coast. If it doesn't make Topeka on 10/24 it will go out on 11/6. My guess it will go on 11/6.
