I just received word from my MA that the good ship Tiger is still on schedule to dock in Port Hueneme on the 2nd, he said that I could have Marius as early as the 4th!
Keeping my fingers, and toes, crossed!

It was really cool to watch the Tiger go through the Panama Canal! My MA says I should see my R59 by the 12th in Denver.

So driving home from vacation and planning to pick up my MINI tomorrow after work. Got a call a couple of hours ago while we were still on the road. My MA said they were doing final QC check and discovered an issue with the auto shift assembly.

Good news is 15 min to fix, bad news is 2 weeks to get part from Germany.

Had already traded in the 2001 Honda Insight so needed a car and they agreed to provide a MINI loaner. They are also working on trying to source the part stateside to speed things up.

So I wonder what the new incentives for April will be? Then I will be choosing and picking that and the interest rate come signing time.

In the mean time the waiting game continues...

Better to find the problem now before you pick up your MINI.

Talked with my MA today, still putting parts on mine at the VPC. Will be picking up a loaner in a couple of days also. Your right, the waiting game continues!

Moxie and I thank you, Bill!! I was hoping the roof had the protective coating as well as the bonnet because it looks way too white!

Wow. Sorry to hear that. I hope they are able to get your part from the US. I can't imagine waiting an extra two weeks. At least they'll give you a MINI loaner in the meantime.

Booked on the TALISMAN leaving South Hampton on the 30th. Should be at the Baltimore port by April 8th!!

I placed my order on March 9th so it looks like it may only be a little over a month until I’m driving it home!

Congratulations Kim!! It has been an extremely long wait, but you'll soon be looking for excuses to drive your beautiful Reef Blue baby.

Still waiting. Marron is somewhere between Brunswick and Tampa. Not sure where though. I'm hoping it gets delivered before the weekend and that I can pick up on Tues or Wed. If I don't do it one of those two day then I have to wait until Sat since I work in the evenings.

FINALLY!!! i bet your pretty excited now!! the last few days and even hours before picking up were prob the longest ever.. i spent mine looking up proper breakin techniques and so far now have about 650Miles on Bonnie (got her last friday) and am noticing my exhaust sounds deeper and deeper each 100 miles and the burble in sport mode is even more pronounced.

today on my drive into work in downtown mpls, i noticed several cars behind me hearing the backfire/burble and then backing off giving me a nice 20+ feet.

some pedestrians get a bit freaked out when i de-accelerate in Sport mode. So..do the manuals burble in sport mode when just letting off the gas too? so much dang fun this car is

I love how something so simple like the burble (which in other cars is a sign of malfunction) can bring everyone together. Quit acting like a bunch of little kids =p

ON another note, It looks like all of us are in limbo with our cars somewhere between the port and our dealership and none of us have any idea where they are lol. My MA is out of town for the weekend until Monday and i'll be visiting Busch Gardens in Tampa on Saturday, guess i'm gonna have to make a pit stop first to see if my baby boy is there =]

Was driving to the dealer to pick up my loaner (nice 2013 Clubman S) after work and got a call from my MA (on his day off). They found the part and my JCW MINI Coupe has been fixed. It was the solenoid that allowed the transmission to come in/out of park (auto trans wife negotiation).

So tomorrow after work I get to return the loaner and pick up my MINI. They needed some time to finish checking the fix, and detail.

I'm committing to pics no later than Sat, then may be a little too busy to post after that.

Sure sounds familiar, giving up the manual transmission for the sake of a wife, me too. My JCW Hatch is a manual and she always hints that this transmission was kind of sneaked by her. Well, maybe, but the JCW wasn't available in the auto then.

As for now, I have loved the Roadster look since the twins were born at the 2009 Paris Auto Show. In reality, I thought that I would get a coupe, but was able to justify the roadster, somehow. Maybe a little sneaky again, but I got the auto for Olga. It was between the coupe JCW or the S with JCW stuff on a roadster. The Lil Raggi Roadster that won out. I'm going to add some performance pieces to make it put out the power of the factory JCW. I think that the Mini JCW tuning kit is way over priced for what you get. An 8 horse power gain, and about the same for torque? I'll try the after market this time, and then have enough left to add some other mods along the way.

Boo that there was a problem, but Yay to a quicker than expected fix!
Anxiously waiting for your pictures!

{I thought that I had read somewhere last year where Mini was going to put a delete in the computer on the exhaust burble. That they were getting too many complaints by, normal people, that they thought that was childish and preferred not to have that. Guess maybe the Mini rank and file won out on that, thankfully.}

ON another note, It looks like all of us are in limbo with our cars somewhere between the port and our dealership and none of us have any idea where they are lol.
{No kidding! There was no idea in my head that my Lil Raggi would NOT be at my dealership in Schaumburg by late Monday, Tuesday morning at the latest. Here it is Thursday night and there is still no sight of Lil Raggi. Lots of thoughts have crossed my mind, and non of them good. From something being wrong with him from the factory, to something happening to him during the voyage across and he is still at the VDC getting fixed. To getting caught in the snow storm and was involved in a wreck, to Mini holding up shipments on account of the snow. Easter, I don't think has much to do with drivers, as Easter isn't like Christmas to these guys. Sure it's a holiday, but not like in December. Truckers like the money they make per mile, and keep going. That MA that said that about having troubles getting drivers or trallers, well let's say he might have been talking thru his hat. Mini, or BMW for that matter, doesn't import enough cars to make that great a difference. Now if we were talking about Japanese cares, well that's a completely different story, same for VW/Audi. Anyway, that's my thoughts. It sure would be nice to hear from my MA tomorrow morning saying that Lil Raggi was at the dealers.{
