Making your Mini wait.

Pretty bad when you make your Mini wait for you...
I can relate as I travel and as I schedule my future travel dates I am concerned that I may miss the date it arrives for pickup. Plus I am trying to get as much of my travelling out of the was as fast as I can for the year so I have more time to drive my Mini when it does arrive.

Hate to think I am driving a rental, who knows what in another state while my Mini would be sitting at home or worse at the dealer just waiting for me...it will kill me.

Really! It should have a mattress package too!

There were things I wanted to add that I didn't. I wanted to keep the OTD price under $36,500. I was close, I got them down to $36549. They are still committing to the .9% financing So when it is all said & done, the final price with financing and tax/title/delivery will be $40,147.00

Now, just to get it! I'm dying here.....My rental car is a Fiat and they SUCK!!!!

Oh, you are going to love it! Once you go Mini, I don't see how you could ever go back to driving anything else!! I've always said that driving my Mini is like taking a vacation every time I get behind the wheel!!! LOVE IT!

Congrats on the order!!!!

Found the delay! Ouch!

For all of us still waiting for our cars to be produced it looks like the Factory in Cowley, Oxford closed December 21st and will not reopen until January 21st.

http://www.irvineminicoopernews.com/...in-shifts.html

It appears there was good news for the union and more jobs and better hours and even new machines (mainly for the new 2014 models) but that means that we probably can't expect any motion on production until at least a few days after Jan 21st at the earliest.

Sorry for the bad news at least now I can stop OC'ing until then.

At least your MA actually knows where your car is

Mine told me on Saturday that the car was released to a trucking carrier, but it hasn't shown up at the dealership yet. It's only like 6 hours from the VDC to Tempe... Perhaps having all this information is indeed a double-edged sword. The 866 number says "in transit" as of a couple of hours ago... I'm trying to be patient.

fvfvsix: It's on its way I'm sure, the automated line still says "in transit" for mine, too. My dealer says I could pick it up tomorrow, but I will be out of town until Saturday, so that's D-Day for me. You and I will probably end up posting photos on the same day.

Strike my last message. Just got a call from MA - heading down there in an hour to supposedly pick up my car. I say "supposedly" because it seems a bit unreal to me, I will believe it when I see it.

My MA thought I'd have a production number tomorrow, but we'll see. I was hoping to be on Asian Emporer on 1/15, but I don't think my 8-day production will make it. If the factory doesn't reopen 1/21, I won't even make Topeka on 1/29!

Picked up "Argo" this evening. It was really too dark to get a decent shot...Over the next few days I'll be in a good part of California where I hope to get some nice shots put up here. I'll say this after having now driven a whopping 6 miles in it....I do not understand all the features, or even a small portion of the features. I hope the learning curve is not too difficult because I'm a bit overwhelmed at all the controls and options. Love the car!:thumbsu p:

I think the second video in particular, where I'm driving, captures the excitement and vitality of the vehicle.

What did you order?

As for the build # I guess your dealer wasn't out of allocations which is always good. Welcome to the waiting room.
