Looks like the Tirranna made good time early this morning, as we are past the Washington DC turn off heading for Baltimore. We should be there by about 09:00 this morning, it appears. And get this, we will pass the Athens Highway, which Marron is on, that is ChefTyGuy's roadster is on. They'll be able to wave at each other as the pass in about half an hour or so. Interesting. We should be unloaded by afternoon, it looks like and who knows, maybe on it's way to Illinois by late tomorrow.

Spice Orange with a White roof and white bonnet stripes looks great. Love the combo and really pops as a color. Congrats.

Already racing I see!

Finally have an update in the MINI Owners Lounge this morning "At Distribution Center". Hopefully it won't be long before my MINI is on it's way to Texas! Getting closer.

Just confirmed by my MA ... my MINI is on the California Highway. It's in the abyss right now; untrackable. But, he's claiming she's due into Brunswick on or about the 27th, but the K-Line schedule shows a due date into Brunswick around the 31st. Not sure if the system has been updated to reflect any priority changes in the ship's routes or what ... but at least I know what ship she's on and that's exciting.

Is this unusually rapid movement?

I ordered on Sat 3/16. MA gave me the Prod number and VIN on Tuesday 3/19. I got in to the owners lounge on Wed 3/20.

I just called Ask Mini and they told me Production started Monday 3/18.

Holy cow I was not expecting things to happen this fast, or is it too good to be true? Having the VIN gives me some level of confidence.

You had very good timing... as did I. The next production run happened right after you made your order. I had 13 hours before mine went into production after ordering. Insane!

Sadly as you may have noted, OL is notoriously behind schedule as a rule...

No nothing out of the ordinary. The fun is only beginning though, the MINI's date of birth, movement to port etc. The wait though can be, excrutiating. I'm in the final stages and I'm trying to find ways to keep my self from flipping out.

Post up a pick of what your MINI is going to look like, kind of the initiation around here or better yet, put it in your signature. Oh, and welcome!

Hi everyone, this is my first post and my first MINI! I’m graduating college so this consequently also my first new car.

My MINI finished production yesterday and is waiting to set sail to Baltimore. Is there anyone who received theirs yet that can comment on how long the wait was after production was finished?

Here’s pictures!

Congrats x 2! If you look at my signature line that can give you a base line on how long it will take to get here. Minus a few days due to you being on the east coast. Also depends on what parts are added when the MINI leaves Southhampton and when it arrives in Baltimore. Last and final factor would be getting it aboard a ship, some MINI's have to wait longer that others. Good luck and happy motoring!

Cali Hwy is behind a day; due into Brunswick, GA, on Apr 1. By the time my MINI gets thru Customs, on a car carrier, to dealer, and prepped -- figuring on an Apr 10 delivery. Doh!!

Customs is taken care of while still at sea, so that's a savings, but it still has to be inspected at the VDC there at the dock, of course then you have to find a truck.

Tex6, we'll be picking up, hopefully that is, one day apart, but just 1200 miles apart. My dealer is in Schaumburg, Illinois, where I got my first Mini. Great MA, the main reason that I went back to her.

My daughter asked me last night when she can come and run your Mini thru it's paces?

This has been the longest wait of my life besides my pregnancy 20 years ago! But much like the arrival of my precious son, I'm sure the wait will be so well worth it!
Hang in there everyone!!
Cheers!
Kim
Saw a coupe on the way home from work and it was sharp! Hang in there Kim . It's worth the wait.

As long as she's buying dinner and drinks, its on! If and when you come to Texas, we need to meet my friend.

Its great having 2 cars with hoodscoops in the family
Already installed stubby antenna, JCW floormats, boot organizer, have a schedule for tint in a few weeks, & waiting on the new wheels & the roof graphic to show up

ETA for Brunswick is 1030 EST. If the cards play out correctly maybe I can get my boy by the end of next week.
