For those that wonder if Owners Lounge ever catches up, well while they are two days late, they now do have Lil Raggi at the Distribution Center. Better than my last time, as they still have my Lil Guy en route to the dealers. But, in their defense, they are up to day, or are they. As they go, Lil Raggi is probably half way to Chicago, hopefully.

Good News - Better News - Best News

Went and talked face to face with my MA today. Good News -They have started putting on parts at the VPC and my MINI should arrive in Texas by the end of next week. Better News - I've been using a rental car since almost the beginning of February. My MA will set me up with a loaner at the end of next week until my MINI is complete. Best News - First week of April I "should" be picking up the MINI. 2 months, but I'm not complaining, I've been rather particular on what I want on the car and having my detailer detail the car.

Dreaming and waiting!

Tex6: Hey, two months is NOT bad at all. That's what it was on my previous Mini, but this time I think that I will beat that by about a week or so. You do know that you'll have to post pictures, now don't you? I'm a good one to talk, I have no idea how to post pictures on here, but I'll try. Anyway, we're all going to be new owners of Mini's at about the same time. Hope Spring comes pretty soon.

I'd ask for another MA to step in and work with you so you can get your MINI ASAFP. You've waited long enough!

Can anyone else find her and let me know where she's at?
My baby's on that ship!

Thanks,

That's total BS just because the MA wants to do the exchange?! I can understand wanting to make sure the new car is experience is a grand thing. Its the dealership's responsibility to make sure its done as quickly as possible.

I totally agree!! I'd be pissed if I was told that after waiting this long! Anyone should be able to finalize the paperwork and do the walk thru with you. It just seems really unfair and unprofessional.

So, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to hit the 11 week wait milestone. It's coming up on Wednesday. My MA emailed Saturday that Moxie was just checked into the VDC and he'd let me know when she is scheduled with the trucking company.
Geez. I figured she'd be at the dealer by Sunday at the latest. What a bummer. Once she gets there, I still have to wait for installation of the stripes (one full day by itself!), bonnet scoop and antenna. Impatience is at critical mass, folks.

If only popcorn had Xanax-like properties to chill me out...

Onward and upward....

That sucks, especially when that us the Sales Managers job if your MA is not available. Of course he won't want to do it, but you've been waiting long enough. I'd either ask the Sales Manager Bout options, and if you don't get the answer you deserve, go to the owner of the dealership, or Manager. That'll get results, trust me. Your MA messed up here.

Bill

I agree with you guys but in the whole aspect of things. I've only waited 7 weeks to get my little man here. It has been released to a carrier so unless its loaded today or tomorrow then I probably couldn't pick it up with a thorough look over since the dealer is 1.5 hours away and i work in the afternoons. In all reality Saturday would be a good day since I'm off but I guess it all depends on when the car gets shipped to Tampa. 8 more days is fine with me as long as I get to motor with the top ASAP

Hey, I'm new to the forums and am awaiting my '13 Cooper S Convertible in LiB w/ Satellite Grew Lounge Leather. I attempted to custom order with my dealer last week, but when he went to place the order online was unable to get that seating option. I've instead opted for a build that was already on its way and I should have it by this weekend. Main differences from my personal build are Chrome Line exterior, silver bonnet stripes, and regular (silver) conical spoke wheels, rather than with black accents and wheels I had built. I think I'll be happy with chrome/silver accents rather than black, and if not I suppose those could always change down the line.

Anyway, the point of my response is that I appreciate your confirmation of the deletion of Satellite Grey Leather Lounge, as I was a little put out when my dealer said he couldn't order it, even though I was still able to build it online. It's a shame as the Satellite Grey is, I think, my favorite seat color. I prefer lighter interiors, and was going to build with the beige, my second choice, until we found this other option.

A welcome side effect of these circumstances is that I will now no longer have to suffer the agonizing, protracted wait for a custom Cooper to reach SoCal!

The bottom tab on the left under "at your mini dealer" shows vehicle specifics. Once it's at the VDC it should update with a close delivery date

By jove you're right, I thought it was 8 weeks this Friday. But still, when a salesman makes a sale, it is his responsibility to get this unit/car out to you as soon as it is available. If he has a vacation, then he'll have to have someone help with the delivery, that's the rules of car sales. I was in that field long enough to learn that, at least, but not long enough to get the car saleman's attitude. Hope for the best ChefTyGuy.

My Raggi hasn't shown up in Schaumburg yet. It's a good possibility that the big snow that went thru Indiana/Ohio caught him en-route from Baltimore. Who knows, but my MA says that I'll have pictures of him as soon as he's unloaded.

Congrats dude! Estimated delivery of my JCW MINI to the dealer is supposed to be tomorrow according to MOL. I don't think I'll be picking it up till next week sometime due to me getting certain things done to it before pickup.

How was your vacation? Don't forget we want pics and initial impressions!

Been watching this thread to see what other people's waits were like. My baby came into B'more on the Tirranna last week. The wait to pick up has been killer... Convinced my lil guy partied a little too much on the trip from the UK and was too hungover to make the truck on time!

You think 17 years with the same car, that one more day wouldn't kill me.... whatever. Tomorrow's the day!

Glad that info helped you out. I'm also partial to lighter interiors. My other car has light grey leather. Easy to care for and keep clean and makes the interior nice and bright and open. That said, most people seem to prefer dark colours and Mini probably ditched the interior options with the lowest take rate as they simplify during the last few months of R56 production.

In other news, finally ordered my MCS today. This will be my third Mini and my needs are pretty simple, so it's a short list.
  • Manual transmission
  • white silver/white roof on black leatherette
  • Premium package (in Canada this includes sunroof, heated seats/mirrors, auto lights/wipers, autodimming interior mirror, armrest, and rear fog lights)
  • Xenon lights
  • DTC
  • Heated front windshield

WS/W was dropped by Mini Canada for MY2013 for no particular reason anyone can explain, so I have to get it as a special order colour combo. Cha-ching ($400).

My salesman promised to email a production number when available but he seems like the type I'd have to pester for updates, so this could be a long wait, especially since there's no equivalent to the Owners' Lounge for Canadians. The only good news is I live ten minutes from the port of Halifax so I won't have to wait for it to travel anywhere after it's offloaded.

Good luck for a speedy delivery to everyone else waiting!

I’ve stalked my MINI so much that I’ve found that I now know my production number by heart. …Still waiting at the port :/
