as far as the CMS goes, our All-4 has never popped or burbled. Even in sport mode... nothing.

 

Disappointing. I've seen youtube vids of it doing it, but not sure what years it was. Even those that said their did, it was subdued compared to what the 2nd gen mini's did.

 

For those of you with better luck than me (that would be everyone), how reliable is the NAM VIN decoder? I enter the VIN my MA gives me and it continues to show as 'invalid' (my MA confirmed today that my CMS made its way to the docks and is awaiting a ride on the party boat).

I know it doesn't really matter at this point, just trying to play with all the toys at my disposal and hope one of them makes me smile.

 

It doesn't even load for me after I put mine in, just times out.

 

Zippy, that color choice is perfect. There is a brand new Clubby at my work with that color combo and if I had to choose any other color that would be it. Great choice!

Where do CMs get shipped out of? Bremen or Bremerhaven? 3 days to Southampton and then about a week to the east coast (generally)?

 

Regarding the break in, my MA told me no more than 5000 rpm, lay off the cruise control, vary my driving, and sport mode is absolutely allowed. All until 1200 miles.

 

I definitely get a lot of burble on deceleration with Sport mode activated. Didn't notice it at first but it is getting more prevalent the more miles I put on (about 250 now). And you have to drive it for about 10 mins to get it warmed up before you hear it. Being my first mini I thought this was typical.

I'll have to say I've gotten it over 5k quite a few times but that's where it comes alive and I just can't help myself!

Bremerhaven, and it generally stops in Zeebrugge, Belgium (I assume to drop off some CM's there), then to Southampton. That is why it takes 3 days to get to Southampton.

 

Of course they are. That's why I got them too. Besides, I like red.

BTW, I think a CR roof, mirrors and interior trim qualifies you to be half-CROC'd!

The guideline is 4.5k, not 4k. Its particularly limiting on a Justa as that's where the power is hiding, above 4.5k. I'm trying to stick to under 4.5k, but I'm not having much success.

Yeah, 4.5k is where our MA said, I was just responding to the poster while on my iphone, so 4k was easier hahah.. but I noticed that once the Justa hits those power curves, she really moves... its just that initial acceleration.

I just noticed it took a full month to get from the port at Bremerhaven (June 11) to Port Hueneme (July 11). That is a loooooonnng wait!

 

That is a loooong wait, EHans. That long journey across the North Atlantic, through the Panama Canal, and then up the Central American Pacific coast is a pain in the rear to go through. Specially when you have your Sweetheart asking you every half an hour... "alright... where is she now?..."

I think I'm going to have an issue with my Honey wanting to drive my Roadster. I keep telling her that she has her own Mini, and she just smirks at me.

 

I'm chuffed - my MA just called and told me mine is on a truck having left Baltimore (so long CR thanks for the company across the pond) and is due in to the dealer here on Sunday. So should have it in my hands early next week.
