I think it will be a bit more than elbow grease to clean that thing up. I cannot imagine anyone letting their car get in that shape.
Sure am feeling more "antsy" today. Maybe it's because I know my MINI is within a short drive of where I am. Docked at the Baltimore port early this morning (man, that ship took forever to go the last couple hundred miles).
very normal
Just as normal as driving further to get the good gas prices, but making sure there are some twisties along the way, I mean, what's a couple extra bucks of fuel usage if you find a good deal while wearing a grin

Thanks for the laugh. This cracked me up.
My Cooper S Hardtop arrived in port in Georgia on Independence Day and I would have loved to have liberated it there and then. Any idea how long it takes to be granted freedom from the facility?

You and me both. Mine is a paltry 10mi with no traffic.
WolfsBane, thanks for the update. It looks like there is a lot of coverage around San Diego so we should see the tiger pop up on a more real time system soon!

Mine got through the VDC in Baltimore the same day it came off the ship, but then I wasn't having any accessories installed there. Then it sat for a couple of days waiting for a truck. From what I've seen here, a couple of days is pretty "normal," with another 7-10 days to get the car to the dealer. Your MA should be the best source of information at this stage.
Mine's 4.The Mini is our second car... we had been a single-car household up till two weeks ago. We made it 5 years with one car at the doorstep of The Motor City - imagine that.
At any rate - driving the mini to work is a heck of a lot better than taking the bus, I'll give it that.

2014 Roadster S ships out tomorrow on the Toledo!WOF episode we won it on airs Friday
So pumped! My baby sets sail tomorrow on its 23 day journey across the globe. Anyone else out there booked on the Toledo? If anyone wants a sneak peek at our Roadster, watch Wheel of Fortune this Friday night and see my wife an I win it in the bonus round (Roadster on stage was not an S, but we only had to shell out a couple hundred bucks to get it upgraded and add a couple options like Mini Connected, Rooster Red interior accents, etc.) Can't wait to track the Toledo every step of the way (and hopefully watch it go through the Panama Canal). August can't come fast enough!

I hope tropical storm Chantal doesn't delay any west coast bound Minis. That is right in the path the ships take to get to the Panama Canal. Are any ships coming through this week or is it next week?
WooHoo! The Tiger is showing up in the California area, though still no real-time tracking.
