I did a few Google searches on things like "european vehicle manufacturer HH" and "vehicle shipping code HH", etc. Nothing. I'm thinking it stands for heavy vehicles because the port has separate processing centers for cars and heavy vehicles, but I can't think of why they would use "HH" for them.

HH could be a designation for heavy equipment.

Welcome to the thread. What do you have on order ?

WB.... I think that's right, even if I can't figure out why they use HH instead of HE.

July 10 for the Tiger. I think WolfsBane is on that ship too.

I wonder if the guy with the Rolls on that ship is as antsy as us lowly Mini buyers? He probably has his manservant tracking it for him.

Ha.... the person waiting on the Rolls probably doesn't even care when it arrives. Will have the chauffer drive one the other Rolls or the Bugatti until that one arrives.

Yup... I'm also on the Tiger. She's somewhere along the coast of Costa Rica by now. July 10th for the Tiger to get to Port Hueneme. Then wait till she's given a clean bill of health at the BMW VDC. Then wait for her to be transported to Portland, OR, where I have to drive close to 400 miles to pick her up. Realizing that I have a bit of a wait, and trying to stay patient.

Mine has to have two things installed there, then transported just under 100mi to the dealer, where I've just about decided they aren't doing anything to the vehicle, except remove the Countryman badging.

I'm still on the fence about this...might have my dealer leave it on for a while and see how I feel about it down the road a little.

Dang... is the Countryman production line that far behind or did it take a long time to get it to the shipping port ? Or both ?

Anyway, big step for you... !

I saw a white CM a few weeks ago on the road with the lettering and you cannot read it. Those little chrome letters against white look like smudges until you get within 15-20 feet.

Well, just heard from Ask Mini. My MCS is (was) on the Georgia Highway which docked in Brunswick today at 5:00AM! A few days of processing/customs then it's on a truck to Fort Lauderdale Mini where I get to meet it :-)

:: psyched! ::

It was almost 40 days between ordering and production start!!!! It didn't help that there has been lots of flooding in Germany...

WOW - that's a looong wait! You're a better man than I Gunga Din.
At least you finally have a date to look forward to and can follow it partway across the Atlantic.

Kudos.

Most assuredly I'm there keeping that JCW of yours humble. I am curious how long it will take once it's ashore to reach my dealer in St Louis.

That won't be hard after they strapped him onto the back of the boat. He should be VERY humble by now.

I'd says a couple of days at the VPC. Then allow for about three days to get him trucked out to your dealer. By the end of next week, I'd say.

That would be fantastic - if it happens I'll be just shy of 5 weeks from order to delivery - much faster than my previous experiences and certainly much better than poor jhortin!
