Finally had a free weekend, and after spending more hours than I can count playing with the configurator and second-guessing my choices . . . I finally ordered my hardtop C and placed a deposit. Woohoo!
I'm ridiculously excited as this is my first fun car ever, as opposed to "ugh I'm on a tighter budget and need to be practical... and this <insert non-MINI brand> isn't very exciting but it's a good price."
Looking forward to enjoying my nasty Silicon Valley commute a heck of a lot more . . . once the car actually gets here!

Most of my second-guessing was on the color - no doubt I drove my MA crazy.
My top choice was the discontinued Laguna Green
which tossed me a bit of a curveball. Ultimately, I went with Spice Orange, but it was a tough call between that, Hot Chocolate, and Lighting Blue.
Otherwise... I went for the black leather lounge seats, the Harman Kardon sound system, Xenons, Adaptive Light control, Rain sensors/auto headlights, Bluetooth, auto dimming mirrors . . . and that's the major stuff.
Picking a dash surface was more difficult than I thought, too. I wound up picking one that I didn't actually get to see in person (striped alloy), so here's hoping I love it as much as I like it in pictures.

ahhh i feel your pain... ordering it and waiting till its delivered is a hard time in every mini owner's life ... i feel your pain but mannn your gunna be super excited the day you pick it up !!! welcome and hope you enjoy it !!!
I ordered mine on Monday same as you. Didn't get my Production Number until calling my MA this afternoon and immediately logged on to OL - it's showing a 2008 Cooper but the ASK-MINI line had different. All they could say was "On Order" but had no details. Evidently the first week or two are just dead so far as getting information...
Mine will be a Convertible Cooper S - Eclipse Grey with the Hot Chocolate Lounge Leather Seats (plus the boots on the gear shift and e-brake). Harmon Kardon upgrade and a few other goodies (Sport Package, black headlight housings, etc.).
This is going to be a LOOOOOOOONG Spring...
