Opinions on 06 cooper s

First off, want to say this forum is awesome and I love reading and learning from all of you.

So i currently drive an 04' TSX and came to the realization that i barely ever use the backseats and want something a little ... more fun to drive
I test drove a couple mini's today and absolutely loved it. The handling is astounding.

Here is the dilemma, I just found an 06 cooper s for sale for cheap. Asked some questions about it, it was lowered an inch and was in an accident which ended up being a "rebuilt front end". IT was bought with all of this, and now the person is moving and selling for cheap. It has been sitting outside not being used for a couple of months.

Just wondering what first comes to mind when you hear about that? I'm guessing since it was lowered it had been driven aggressively (not grandma driven). It has 84,000 km's.

Thanks in advance for the help! Can't wait to call a mini my own.

I tend to steer clear of cars that were in accidents. You don't know what you will get. My advice is to keep shopping.

These cars are not really hard to find. At least not in my neck of the woods. I'd hold out for something better.

Thanks for the help, i was thinking the same thing.

I just don't think i'll be able to find a MCS in my price range. Oh well, start looking for a standard cooper.

Keep searching, yes, but keep on the lookout for another '06. That is one of their best years. Getrag tranny, iron (the lump) engine, both pretty much bullet proof. Other plus things to look for are the multi function wheel, cold weather package and HK sound. A drop head is a klincher, topless motoring is motoring at its best.
