How long have yours taken to get to Southampton once they were finished? Really curious...

 

Ok, update. I was just sitting here, enjoying a latte between meetings and thought I'd try checking my VIN on the WW cargo tracking website again, before calling my MA to see if he could find out what ship Stella is booked on.

And according to the WW website, she was just booked on the Tomar, and received at the Terminal!!!

Anyone else who has a west-coast bound MINI might want to check and see, maybe your MINIs will be playing shuffleboard on the high seas with Stella.

 

Yeah, so much for the quick start. Within 11 days of my order, my car had completed production and was on her way to the dock. I think she missed the carrier that left on 3/25 by a day or so. So, she's been waiting for a ride ever since.

Thanks so much for your research Lil Maky. Now there's a glimmer of hope. My MA has always been good about getting back to me right away with information but he seemed a bit stumped yesterday. Hopefully, I'll get a more definitive update today.

Good luck to all of those waiting to find out where their babies are. Waiting bites but not knowing what's going on is absolute torture!

Oh well, this whole process has been rather fascinating and educational. I mean, until now I'd never really thought about shipping logistics and how a car gets from the factory to my driveway. And thanks to the obsessive nature some of us develop while waiting for our babies, I've learned a lot about the above, and more. (The night I caught myself googling, looking for images of MINIs aboard ship . . . yeah, that might be the night I went too far.)

Still having fun tracking the Tomar between B-haven and S-hampton. May as well enjoy it while it lasts, once she gets into the Atlantic she'll drop off the map for the most part, until the Panama Canal.

You are correct! Checked last night, nothing . Just checked and there it is! Lil Maky is booked on the THEMIS LEADER, arriving Port "why knee me" on May 7th! Whoo Hoo! . I knew there were two ships!

I do agree this has been quite the education! This whole world of getting Goods and Cars from there to here. Amazing!

Maky is still going to make it home in time for Memorial Day Weekend

 

What site did you use to find Lil Maky booked on Themis Leader? I am not seeing Sargent on the Wallenius site... Thanks

Use the Cargo ID field on the right, enter your Full VIN, click Track.

 

Same site, I've been checking, thanks. I emailed the MA hopefully he can confirm that my MINI is onboard one of the 2 ships that left yesterday...

 

Your CM should have shown up on the track site yesterday being that you should have loaded in Bremerhaven. Your MA or their manager can get to the bottom of this.

 

Mine isn't on the tracking site either but has been at the docks for a week. I'm sure it's on one of them. My MA is off today, so I'll check tomorrow.

 

Most I've seen, just a day or two, they must have very routine/frequent carriers.

Then: waiting to get on the ship, getting there in time for next sailings, on ships with room.

 

Buffy wasn't coming up on the Tomar yesterday but she's listed today. What a relief!! She's on her way...

I'm getting antsy! The ship my MINI is on was supposed to arrive at the Port of Brunswick today at 6am but I can't find any information to confirm! The websites I've visited haven't been updated since yesterday.

 

The Porgy departed Southampton late on May 9th and I thought my MCS had missed the boat but, alas, today (13th) the Owners Lounge changed from awaiting transportation to "enroute". Therefore I'm assuming it is on the Porgy but not certain. I can get on the WW site but can't find the tracking page where I could enter my VIN to confirm. I have heard that the site doesn't like Mac's but I have a hard time believing that. Can anyone help?

 

UH - - right - - I meant it departed APRIL 9th.

Awaiting Transportation. The ship to CA looks like it departs on 4/24. So a lot of waiting around until it departs. Anyone have different info or a sooner date on ships to CA?

 

So I heard back from my MA today, Sargent did not make it to the port in time for a ride home in Tomar or Themis Leader... that sets me back at least 2 weeks from motoring....

Went to car show today finally got to see Roadster up close and personal. Was excited to see how the top works. Really happy the "reef blue" (hadn't seen it except on the website) is just what i dreamed of.

Another great update. Guess my car was sent to Southampton sometime yesterday. Not sure if its there now or not. But, hoping for a quick loading onto a ship to the NY port. (Not getting my hopes up though.) Anyone else heading on the east cost? Have any ideas of when ships are leaving. I used the one website and found a few dates, the other site that was provided was a bit more confusing...

 

Ours was completed on the 12th as well and will be heading for CA. How did you find out about the 4/24 shipping date? Do you know a ship name yet?

Inquiring minds want to know.

 

Next ship to California is Topeka leaving Bremerhaven on 4/21 and Southampton on 4/24...
