My Mini was delivered to the dealer, after Cilajet and Clear Bra installed I can pick him up! Woohoo!

 

On another car forum, one MINI owner (a MEGA-lucky duck!!) was actually AT the Panama Canal when the K-line cargo ship with his car on board was passing through! He posted pics and paperwork to prove it. I'd love to be able to see a ship driving through the Canal with my baby but sadly, my port of arrival was Texas so it stopped on the east coast.

 

I ordered my MINI (D'Andorian) on March 30. Released to a carrier on April 13. I am so anxious! Get those trains rolling! Are there live feeds somewhere to catch a glimpse?

 

My MINI was released on the 13th also and is already on a ship to NY/NJ. Did you check to see if you might have made the Don Juan also? A WW cargo ship.

 

Awesome news! I can't wait to get mine in the dealer. I'll have a bit more of a wait though, sport stripes, tint, clear bra and driving lights before I get to take him home. Hoping it only takes a few days.

Oh Im going from my current 08 MCS with sport and premium packages (in my sig and gallery) to a stripper 12 MCC, black on black, nothing but fogs, anthracite headliner and a HK stereo. I'm gonna post in my sig soon.

In a nutshell I'm at the end of my lease and realized that I definitely wanted another MINI, but I was more about cruising around with nice wheels and a decent stereo, and some extra room to carry around friends and fam. The base Clubbie fits my needs perfectly, so off I went to the dealer!

I'm definitely going to miss the turbo, but this MINI is definitely more "me" at this stage of the game. In any case trust me, having DD'ed an MCS for 4 years I KNOW you're going to love every minute of owning your S. Enjoy it!!

 

Sounds nice! I'll expect pictures once received! Lol. I was looking into a Clubman. I love the look, but when it came down to it I just didn't my need the space. This will be my third MINI. First was a 2003 MINI Cooper (R50), second was a 2007 MINI Cooper S (R56). Both of which I bought pre-owned, I've been contemplating purchasing a new one. Mainly for the warranty since my R56 has been well, being a problem child we'll say. Lol. So, went to the dealer to just talk. Ended up ordering it that day. Only thing I regret is not ordering a factory JCW for the money. Figure I'm young (20), have a great job, nothing holding me down and I should live while I can. Pre-Minivan years. Lol. So for my 21st I'll be getting myself the JCW kit for the 2012 Cooper S.

Just can't wait for this little bugger to get here! Figuring I'll be able to pick it up first week in May.

 

Pics are mandatory for everyone in this thread lol. Buying a MINI new for the first time is pretty fun, isn't it? Getting to pick out exactly what you want is definitely an awesome thing. And then there's the wait. Ha...the suspense is killing me. My MA emailed me back today and is thinking Saturday is the big day, everything not pinned down is being crossed over here.

I loved the whole process, knowing I'm the one who picked everything in this car just makes the whole thing 200 times better. Waiting absolutely sucks! But, I can't complain. I ordered mine on the 17th of last month. Finished building it the 12th of this month. Boat left Southampton with my MINI on the 15th. So I was extremely lucky. Can't wait to see yours!

 

well, delivery day is almost here. The truck was unloaded, and he/she is now safely parked and waiting for pickup. Should be officially ours in the next 24-28hrs.

So...excited!

My car was ordered on 4/2. Went into production on 4/3 was finished sometime over the weekend and is booked and loaded on the Tamesis today ready to set to sail for Baltimore tomorrow 4/17. Should arrive on US soil on 4/25.
Wow this is happening fast!

 

our minis are siblings! mine started production on 4/3 as well and finished this past weekend. haven't been able to confirm mine is on the ship to Baltimore...but I'm hoping that it is!

 

After lurking on here for awhile, I thought I would finally join to share I ordered my first MINI on 3/10, a Spice Orange Cooper Coupe! Finally found out today she is on the Bishu Highway on her way to GA! The wait is getting closer to an end!

I have called the phone number, but I only get the message that she has been released to the carrier. I don't know how to find out any more info - I see other people have status codes, and everybody seems to know what ship their car is on!! I want to know too!!

 

Yeah, I was getting discouraged not seeing mine, but others built in consectutive Vin's getting on ships last week. Of course mine was on K-Line, so I couldn't see it. My MA notified me today, so I feel much closer to the finish.

Yours looks great! I test drove a Justa same color as yours, it looks sweet Pepper White and Black!

I hope she wasn't offended by the sales team drooling over a new M5 that was part of the same delivery. Kind of off topic - but that car looked so massive. Partially due to perspective with it's small cousins parked nearby, but it was still a very large (and stunning) car.

Just get your VIN from your MA and then go to the "how to track your mini" thread and from there you can go to the shipping lines website and enter your VIN. If your on there it'll pop right up..with all the details

When I call the number it still says that it's been released to a carrier also. I checked the WW site under track and trace. Put my VIN # In under cargo ID and to my surprise it showed up saying it was getting loaded onto the Don Juan. Left Sunday mid-day and should be in NJ/NY port on the 25th. 8 days away! I'd suggest doing the same, never know what you might find. Let us know!
