"Those Waiting for a 2012" Support Group
I called the ASK-MINI line yesterday and got the same reply that I've been getting since the 30th of last month. IN production, but hasn't entered the body shop with an estimated completition date of April 12th, which is Thursday. I'm a little worried it won't get finished on time. Sucks having to wait! Boo!
Wry,
From my research this weekend, WW is the only carrier I can find that has an "active" schedule to Port "wha nee me".
I too am waiting for the Tomar this week, I believe we will show up on WW cargo site around Wednesday or Thursday this week.
I am going to try to confirm with my MA this week what ship Lil Maky is going to be on.
. If there is no production number by the end of this week I might start asking other dealers if they have an immediate slot open...

My Countryman took 12 days to show up in OL, turns out my production number was used back in '08 and the only information I could see was that of a Pepper White MCS. Sargent also took longer than the posted 7-8 days for the production process. The good news for Sargent he has plenty of presents waiting for his arrival... be patient, the process works, but unfortunately information is not always updated. As you may have read, we won't know our MINI's are onboard the ship until a few days have past...

It's hard to be patient when the wife steals your STI every day and you're stuck driving a Matrix!

The Tomar is due in May 2, along with a pineapple boat. My Countryman was on the Asian King, and it came in to port with a banana boat (Chiquita) and a Delmonte pineapple boat.

Hi everyone! Is anyone else's baby set to sail on the PORGY (WW) today? ETA in NYC is 4/18!
Clubbie's on her way, time to track her ship! I think I might have a glee attack shortly.
Ha! we're traveling together. Exciting isn't it?

The Maryland triangle!!!! Oh no!!!
The Independence 2 stopped giving data this morning at 0600. It is supposed to be in Baltimore tomorrow. Did the the Maryland triangle get it? Oh no my Mini is so close but no one knows where the ship is. Help!!!
I just put in an order for my mini cooper s, the wait is going to feel like forever, and it will take a little longer than usual due to putting an order in with the local mini dealership that has yet to open so I will have to wait about an extra month to pick it up from them(it was ordered special as part of their initial inventory for me). I figured an extra month or a little less isn't too bad of a wait in the long run. I would rather support the local business(and a nice discount for purchasing a few bmws from them in the past didn't hurt either).
I vote for Why-Nee-Me also. Here's the link to the port schedule:

Hi peanut is also on the porgy. tried to track this morning but no luck seems they are out of range.
As of 1:30pm PDT, 10-Apr, TOMAR has picked up a Pilot and is headed into Bremerhaven.
Hoping Lil Maky gets a ride from its next stop in Southhampton!
But still no sign on WW cargo site
OK need to find something else to do.

Ordered my Spice Orange MCS Roadster on 17th March - hopefully due in the next few weeks as I live in the UK. It'll be my 9th MINI and I can't wait! Posted this on another thread but incase you missed it:
Anyone who has a MINI sitting in Southampton docks at the moment will have a little bit of history connected to their car today.
Today was the day exactly 100 years ago that the RMS Titanic set sail from the port for the first and last time. Today at noon - the moment Titanic slipped its moorings from berth 43/44 - a recording of the ship's whistle sounded around the docks.
The day has also been marked by various memorial services and reenactments at the port and around Southampton.
If you watch BBC news at the start of their report they have aerial footage which shows cars on the left waiting to leave.

No, not every one gets their production week right away. My MA luckily was able to change a car the dealer was ordering to meet my specs and got me in quicker. But quicker wasn't very quick as I ordered a week ago, and my production week is 4/8. You should be getting it shortly, or whenever your MA finds information on it.
The whole process is new to me, as I've never ordered a car from factory. But I do know, this waiting stuff sucks! I know once mine finally get into production, I'll be even worse! Haha. Keep me posted on your status! Hopefully they come across the pond together!

Thanks for the update, I am too waiting for Sargent to be loaded on the Tomar and begins the long journey home. What's cool is once Tomar is at sea, we should be able to track its progress across the pond and up the west coast...
