waitin is making me nuts and broke. ordered 2/29 ol still says scheduled for prodution askmini auto says in body shop estimated completion 3/30 trying to figure out if i went to paint. on the 29 my grand prix needed to be towed into shop alternator went $500, 3/14 towed again new battery$200, yesterday$800 to pass inspection. really i need this car!

As for me, I found out today that we have progress!! My Ox is on the Grand Venus and is currently sailing the English Channel on it's way to CA. Due to his port in the states on 4/24. Yippeeee!!!

Well, after breaking down in Indy & again in KC, the truck delivering my MINI wasn't able to make my appointment. I was supposed to pick it up yesterday, but it didn't arrive at the dealership until today. My MA was kind enough to send me a couple teaser shots...





Unfortunately I'll be out of town until Wednesday so I'll have to wait a few more days.

Really nice, liveSTRONG. The Countryman with a nice white/black color scheme looks great. There's a similar one that lives near me and it looks really slick. Yours does too.

 

Love the black and white combo! Every time I see the backed out headlights it makes me even more happy I chose them for my car. They look great. I think they really add a modified touch to a factory option.

 

Moved from On Order, to Scheduled For Production today! Recieved my VIN number also! So that must be a good sign?!?!

 

Yay!! Contrats!! Now the fun of tracking it's progress begins.

Seriously made my day! Every night when I got off work, I'd just pop on the owners lounge just to see if anything else was going on. And BAM! There it was! So excited to start tracking!

Lil Maky went to body shop on 3/25. Calling ASK-MINI All week for updates no change in status. Most builds take 8 to 10 days. I suspect that when OL updates on Saturday or Sunday night it will be done waiting for a train

I think you will get surprised this week with your car done with production

 

Hi all,

After mulling it over for about a year, our decision was unfortunately expedited when my wife had an accident and our BMW 128i was totaled . Fortunately she is OK, and after about a month of shopping around, we now have a JCW Hardtop on order!

We were sorely tempted by the JCW they had on hand, especially with the heavy discount they offered, but there is something about ordering a car you know hasn't been too sullied by other people's grubby hands . Just kidding, but we are a tad paranoid about buying any manual transmission car off the lot. The main factors, of course, are getting exactly what we want, and the sweet agony of anticipation. We don't even have a production number yet!

It's only been a day, but I think I already want to amend the wait to just "agony".

 

Finally it's on a ship! My eclipse gray JCW with red roof, mirrors and Riccaro seats is on its way to its new home. Very exciting!!! Heading to the East Coast. Hopefully it won't take long.

 

Is anyones else's Mini sitting at the port since 3/22?

It seems like it is currently taking exactly 2 weeks from the end of production end date for our poor cars to find a spot on a boat, so unfortunately you probably have a couple more days. :( Hopefully you'll get lucky but it not, Thursday is your day to get assigned a vessel.

mine still shows at the VDC from 3/22 off the talisman, but the car is sitting in my driveway.....picked it up yesterday

call your dealer, they have the most accurate info after the boat docks (per ASK-MINI)

Yes I was also on the talisman, I did call my dealer and he said its still in Balitmore waiting to be assigned a truck. I'm getting pissed now!

 

Yup - it's probably what I said last page. My boat (the TOSCANA) just got in last night. So maybe it was waiting for some cars from that load to get on the same truck to head in your direction. That still sucks though.

I hope my car goes through the VDC quickly. I added fog lights which are installed there before it goes to dealer. Hopefully it won't be a long process! I only live 45 min. away from the port - so here's hoping!

 

So is anyone else on the Grand Venus? Hopefully a few of us made it on the Venus.

Mine is delayed too. Got into ny port 3/24. Dealer is 1&1/2 hours from port.Estimated delivery was 3/30. Just checked and now says estimated delivery 4/08. Wonder what is causing the delay. Hope my MA has some answers for me tomorrow.
